12 Weeks of Christmas Cards: Week 2

Welcome to Week 2 of my 12 Weeks of Christmas Cards!  I've made it two weeks in a row now, so I'm off to a good start.  :)  If you didn't already see last week's cards, you can check them out HERE. 

For this week's cards, I wanted to feature a snowman, snowflakes, and the Beautiful Bokeh papers.  Alas, I don't have any "current" Stampin' Up snowmen or snowflakes, so I used last winter's Snowy Wonder bundle.  Use whatever snowmen and snowflakes that you have in your stash to copy this design!  Don't have any snow globe dies?  Hand-cut some pieces that would work.

I was able to include some of the Peaceful Garden Glimmer paper.

I stamped snowflakes on the Beautiful Bokeh (Balmy Blue) dsp, with Blueberry Bushel ink.  Die-cut some small snowflakes out of the Glimmer paper as well.  I used up some scraps for those, and I miscounted - so some cards got 2 little glimmery snowflakes, some only got 1.

Building the snowglobe was easy.  Die-cut the pieces.  Stamp the tree in Balmy Blue, and the small snowflakes in Blueberry Bushel.  Color the snowman with some Blends, add the Shimmer pen all over, and pop him up.

Emboss the greeting in White on Balmy Blue cardstock, and rip the edges.

Paper Measurements:

• Blueberry Bushel:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
• Basic White:  4" x 5 1/4", for inside of card
• Beautiful Bokeh Designer Series Paper (Balmy Blue):  4" x 5 1/4"
• Peaceful Garden Glimmer paper (blue):  3" x 4", die-cut snowglobe base; scrap to die-cut snowflakes
• Basic White:  scraps to die cut snowglobe and snowman

I used some Iridescent Faceted Gems on some of the cards, and Silver Sparkle Gems on others.  Used up both of those packs of embellishments!

Stamps: Snowy Wonder Bundle

Ink:  Balmy Blue, Blueberry Bushel, Tuxedo (Memento)

Paper: Blueberry Bushel, Balmy Blue, Basic White, Beautiful Bokeh Designer Series Paper, Peaceful Garden Glimmer Paper

Other: Iridescent Faceted Gems, Sparkle Gems, Neutrals embossing powder (White) Stampin' Blends (Balmy Blue, Pumpkin Pie), Clear Shimmer brush pen
