Triple Easel Cards!

Happy World Card Making Day Folks!

I hope you are able to create a card today, if that is on your list.  I was able to finish the third card from Thursday night, and now I'm ready for a nap.  :)  Thursday night, I had fun sharing these Triple Easel cards.  The design and how-do was inspired by Club Scrap.  Tricia does monthly videos showing how to assemble their monthly Scrapbooking kits, as well as Card kits.  I found this gem from a month or two ago, and she also shared it a few years ago.  I was able to pull the cardstock measurements and scoring from her cut sheets, so you don't have to!

These are really fun cards to make and display.  The trick to get them to stand up properly is to weigh them down with something heavy when you first make them.  As Tricia repeated in her videos, you have to train the card to lay flat, so that it can stand up nicely.  I used some of my larger clear blocks, but you could use anything -

Just a reminder that I am generally Live on-line every Thursday at 8:00pm ET.  I stream to BOTH YouTube and Facebook simultaneously, but I recommend viewing on YouTube.

If you are not able to catch me live, you can watch over on YouTube.  If the picture does not appear below, you can click HERE to get to it.

NOTE:  These cards do fit snugly in an A2/medium envelope.  I weighed my prototype and it came in at .08 oz...so just under the mark for one regular postage stamp.  They are a little thick and bulky though.

I started out with the Kintsugi Inspirations designer series papers.  I cut some of the vases out of the paper, and added greetings.  This is the card standing up nicely.  Notice that you can have some of the bits and pieces hanging off the top edge of the BOTTOM and MIDDLE easels, but NOT the TOP easel.

Paper Measurements:
  • Petal Pink:  4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
  • Petal Pink:  4 1/4" x 5", scored at 1 1/4", 2 1/2"
  • Petal Pink:  (2) 4 1/4" x 3 3/4", scored at 1 1/4", 2 1/2"
  • Petal Pink:  3" x 4 1/4"
  • Petal Pink:  2 1/2" x 4 1/4"
  • Petal Pink:  2" x 4 1/4"
  • Kintsugi Inspirations DSP/Print 1:  2 3/4" x 4"
  • Kintsugi Inspirations DSP/Print 2:  2 1/4" x 4"
  • Kintsugi Inspirations DSP/Print 3:  1 3/4" x 4"
  • Petal Pink/Basic White:  scraps to make easel stopper and greeting
  • Kintsugi Inspirations DSP:  hand-cut some of the vases/flowers
Finish with some of the Flower Accents in that nice bright gold.

Stamps:  Simply Said
Ink:  Misty Moonlight
Paper:  Petal Pink, Basic White, Kintsugi Inspirations Designer Series Paper
Other:  1 3/4" & 2" Circle punches, Flower Accents

Here's what the card looks like from the side, and then folded down flat.

The second version is monotone in Berry Burst with the Beautiful Butterflies stamps and dies.  I brought in the Beautiful Bokeh papers on this one.  I think I got all the cuts I needed from one 6" x 6" sheet!

Color in the butterflies with some Stampin' Blends, or use any markers/coloring pencils that you have.

Paper Measurements:
  • Berry Burst:  4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
  • Berry Burst:  4 1/4" x 5", scored at 1 1/4", 2 1/2"
  • Berry Burst:  (2) 4 1/4" x 3 3/4", scored at 1 1/4", 2 1/2"
  • Berry Burst:  3" x 4 1/4"
  • Berry Burst:  2 1/2" x 4 1/4"
  • Berry Burst:  2" x 4 1/4"
  • Beautiful Bokeh DSP/Berry Burst:  2 3/4" x 4", 2 1/4" x 4", 1 3/4" x 4"
  • Basic White:  scraps to make easel stopper/greeting, and stamp/die-cut butterflies
Finish off with several Brass Butterflies, and some of the Charming Shimmer Gems in Berry Burst.  I also ran my Shimmer brush all over those butterflies.

Stamps:  Beautiful Butterflies Bundle
Ink:  Berry Burst, Tuxedo (Memento)
Paper:  Berry Burst, Basic White, Beautiful Bokeh Designer Series Paper
Other:  Brass Butterflies, Charming Shimmer Gems, Stampin' Blends (Berry Burst/Melon Mambo), Shimmer pen (i.e. Wink of Stella)

I did not have time to make this last card during the live video - because I wanted to open up my 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar...so I just finished this today.  I used the Gathering Moments bundle along with the most recent Paper Pumpkin kit.  Happy Birthday is from the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set.

I stamped the pumpkins, then colored in with Stampin' Blends.  Hand-cut those.  Stamp all the other leaves/foliage and die-cut.  Layer those leaves, and pop some up.  Just remember - don't let anything hang off the very top edge of the last easel.

The easel stopper for this card is made from (4) 1" Early Espresso circles glued together, then popped up with two dimensionals.

Paper Measurements:
  • Early Espresso:  4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
  • Early Espresso:  4 1/4" x 5", scored at 1 1/4", 2 1/2"
  • Early Espresso:  (2) 4 1/4" x 3 3/4", scored at 1 1/4", 2 1/2"
  • Early Espresso:  3" x 4 1/4"
  • Early Espresso:  2 1/2" x 4 1/4"
  • Early Espresso:  2" x 4 1/4"
  • Autumn Toile DSP/Print 1:  2 3/4" x 4"
  • Autumn Toile DSP/Print 2:  2 1/4" x 4"
  • Autumn Toile DSP/Print 3:  1 3/4" x 4"
  • Gray Granite:  scrap to die-cut stitched circle
  • Basic White:  scraps to make easel stopper, greeting, and stamp/die-cut leaves/acorns/pumpkins
Added a few Textured Metallic dots to finish it off.

Stamps:  Gathering Moments Bundle, Fall for Toile (Paper Pumpkin Sep 2025), Beautiful Butterflies
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Old Olive, Mossy Meadow, Early Espresso, Onyx (Versafine)
Paper: Early Espresso, Gray Granite, Basic White, Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper
Other:  Layering Circles dies, Stylish Shapes dies, 1" circle punch, Textured Metallic Dots, Stampin' Blends (Cajun Craze, Calypso Coral, Pumpkin Pie, Mossy Meadow)

I hope that you are not intimidated by this design.  Three easels in one card seems a little daunting at first, but give it a try.  It's not as hard as the finished product makes it seem.  :)

This coming Thursday (10/9/2025), I plan to share some ideas using the Light & Wonder Dies.  I did NOT get the bundle, but I did get the Lights of Aurora paper that goes with it.  Beautiful products!

Thanks for visiting, and Happy stamping!
