Friends of Unity October 2025 Blog Hop: Color Challenge!

Welcome to the October 2025 Blog Hop, brought to you by the Friends of Unity Blog hoppers!  This month's theme is a Color Challenge and I LOVE these colors!  Orange, Brown, Red, and Gold.  They're very Autumn-y, which is my favorite time of year.  I hope you enjoy my FUN card.  I can't wait to see what the other designers have created.

I went with the fun Voodoo Vibes kit.   I got it last year, I think, and have NOT put ink on him yet!  It's definitely a him.   I think of Fall with this one, so the color challenge is perfectly appropriate.

 

I stamped him on a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock, and ripped all the edges.  Mount that to Early Espresso, and then I smeared/direct-to-paper swipe the edges of that with Versamark ink so I could gold-emboss them.  I like that effect.  It's inconsistent, and it works for me.

Color in a little bit with some alcohol markers, and then add some buttons.  I did touch the top of the pins with a Gold Wink of Stella, but it's going dry...not showing up well.  

On the card base itself, I stamped the harlequin background stamp directly on the card front.  Add a bit of Golden Autumn Whispers papers with another ripped edge that I inked up with Tangelo Twist ink (to match the card front).

I finished off with the layered greeting, mounted to a bit of orange polka dot ribbon.  Pop that whole bit up with some foam tape.

Other:  Gold Sparkle embossing powder (Brutus Monroe), Orange/polka dot ribbon and buttons (stash)
