Re-purpose your projects - Seaside card

Do you have projects laying around your craft room that you never used, and want to give them new life?  I have A LOT.  Every box or bag that I make lingers in my room.  Time to re-purpose bits and pieces!

For this project, I did some re-purposing.  Here is my finished piece - the focal point uses the recently retired Seaside Notions stamp set.  I lifted that whole bit from another project....

The main bit came from a project I made in last year's July Virtual Workshop.  Click here to go back and see all of those projects!  Here is the project that I ripped it off of, literally!

I must have made the "hello" version when I filmed the live video, because that's what I had left.  I slid this belly band off, and ripped most of it off.

For my "NEW" card, I went with a tone-on-tone Coastal Cabana card base.  Embossed the layer of Coastal Cabana with the Seashells 3-D embossing folder.  THEN, I took my White Craft ink and touched it all over the raised up bits.  Sprinkle on some Iridescent Ice embossing powder and cook it up.  Very sparkly, and the white ink still shows.  I like how it stands out!

I hope this gives you an idea to re-purpose a project that you might have laying around.  This would have made an excellent gift tag as well!

Supplies you'll need to create these (Stampin' Up, unless otherwise noted.  Items may be retired.):

Stamps:  Seaside Notions
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Magenta Madness, Cinnamon Cider, White Craft
Paper:  Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, Magenta Madness, White
Other:  Seashells 3-D embossing folder, 2" and 2 1/4" circle punches, Iridescent Ice embossing powder, Rhinestones, Clear Wink of Stella pen

Thanks for visiting, and Happy stamping!
