Made with Love Notes - Valentine 2026 Projects

It's a rainy Saturday here in Maryland today.  Perfect weather for blogging!  Today I'm sharing the projects that I made during my live video on Thursday night.  I decided to dedicate ALL of January to Valentine's projects, and this week was cards and some treats.   I called this video "Made with Love Notes", because I'm mainly using the Made with Love designer series papers, and the Love Notes papers.

I encourage you to grab whatever Valentine, hearts, or Love stamps you have, along with any heart shaped punches, dies, ephemera, doo-dads...whatever you have, grab it and use it!  I pulled out some old Paper Pumpkin stamp sets that were Valentine-themed from 2015!  Hey - if they work, use them!

Just a reminder that I am generally Live on-line every Thursday at 8:00pm ET.  I stream to BOTH YouTube and Facebook simultaneously, but I recommend viewing on YouTube.

If you are not able to catch me live, you can watch over on YouTube.  If the picture does not appear below, you can click HERE to get to it.

First Valentine features a neat cardstock strip design.  I used one full sheet of Basic White Thick cardstock to cut all of the white pieces.  I've got the base, then a layer, then five strips.  Stamp each strip with a different pattern and color, and then pop them all up.

Add your die-cut letters on top, and then the white-embossed Valentine's Day strip.

I used five different shades of pink for this one.

Paper Measurements:
  • Basic White Thick:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
  • Basic White Thick:  4" x 5 1/4"
  • Basic Whtie Thick:  (5) 3/4" x 3 1/2"
  • Strawberry Slush:  scraps to die-cut letters and stamp/emboss greeting
  • Strawberry Slush/Flirty Flamingo/Pretty in Pink:  scraps to punch tiny hearts
I finished with a few Basic Rhinestones.

Wouldn't this be cool in black and white?  Or school colors with little graduation hats instead of the hearts?

Stamps:  Reason to Celebrate, Stripes & Dots, Lasting Linen
Ink: Bubble Bath, Strawberry Slush, Pretty in Pink, Flirty Flamingo, Melon Mambo, Versamark
Paper:  Basic White Thick, Strawberry Slush
Other:  Alphabet a la Mode dies, Neutrals embossing powders (white),  small heart punch, Basic Rhinestones

Next is a fun treat holder.  I found these cute facial masks at Walmart and grabbed a couple.  This project has a pocket inside to hold your treats.   I added one of the fun Lovely Doilies to the front - so cute!

Finished size is 5 1/4" x 5 1/4" x 1/4".  The spine/fold is at the top.

I used magnets to keep this closed, but you could also use ribbon, or make a belly band.

NOTE:  When I made this live, the measurements I used were for a 3/8" spine.  I've since decided that a 1/4" spine will be better, so I've adjusted the measurements here accordingly.

Paper Measurements:
  • Melon Mambo:  5 1/4" x 10 3/4", scored at 5 1/4", and 5 1/2"
  • Melon Mambo:  5" x 5", embossed with Dotted Circles folder
  • Highland Heather:  5" x 5"
  • Basic White:  4 3/4" x 4 3/4"
  • Melon Mambo:  3" x 6", scored at 1/2" on three sides to make a landscape pocket
  • Mixed Up Patterns DSP:  2 1/4" x 4 3/4"
  • Highland Heather/Melon Mambo/Bubble Bath/Basic White:  scraps to punch/die-cut hearts and donuts
Open it up to reveal the pocket that holds this circle-shaped face mask packet.

Here's a picture showing my prototype - the green one.  I didn't add a spine to that one.  It just folds over....I didn't care for that, so I added the spine.  It's still cute, but I don't like how the cover curves over.

I like having the "conversation hearts" on that pocket.  Those are all glued down flat.

Stamps:  More than Autumn, Bee My Valentine, Cute Conversations (Jan 2016 Paper Pumpkin), Heartfelt Love Notes (Jan 2018 Paper Pumpkin)
Ink:  Melon Mambo, Gorgeous Grape, Tuxedo (Memento)
Paper: Melon Mambo, Highland Heather, Bubble Bath, Basic White, Mixed Up Patterns Designer Series Paper
Other:  Dashes and Frills Hearts dies (Unity Stamp Co), various heart punches, Lovely Doilies, Stampin' Blends markers, facial masks (Walmart), Clear Shimmer brush pen, Basic Rhinestones, magnets (check out my Amazon Store link at the bottom of this post to find the ones that I use)

My third project is a shaker card using these ADORABLE Loose Valentine's Assortment (bits and pieces).  This is actually a Faux Shaker card, but instead of a clear envelope for the shaker part - I used one of the Flip Flaps.   I only had 3" x 4" Flip Flaps, and that's not the best size.  I made it work, but 3" x 3" would have been better.

For a Faux Shaker card, you stamp a piece of cardstock and put it in your clear envelope (whether that's a clear envelope or a Flip Flap).  Then add your shaker bits to the front inside of that and seal it up.  Tape it directly to your layer that you've die-cut a shape from, then attach all of that to your card base using dimensionals or foam tape.

Paper Measurements:
  • Pretty in Pink:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
  • Basic White:  (2) 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Love Notes DSP:  3 13/16" x 5 1/16"
  • Basic White:  3" x 3"
  • Strawberry Slush/Pretty in Pink:  scraps to punch small hearts
I'm going to try to make another one of these Faux Shakers using a clear envelope.  The Flip Flaps are much sturdier and thicker plastic than the clear envelopes and that doesn't lend itself to easy shaking of the bits inside.

Stamps:  Love You a Lot (Apr 2015 Paper Pumpkin), Cute Conversations (Jan 2016 Paper Pumpkin)
Ink:  Strawberry Slush, Pretty in Pink
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Basic White, Made with Love Designer Series Paper
Other:  Dashes and Frills Hearts dies (Unity Stamp Co), Loose Valentine's Assortment, Flip Flaps, small heart punch

My last project was a Pizza Box made on the fly.  Again, I found treats at Walmart...valentine's ding dongs,  I wanted to make a 2-compartment pizza box, but the ding dongs are too big to make that style of box using 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock.  SO, I changed plans and made a single cupcake holder pizza box.

Finished size of this pizza box is 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" x 1 1/4".

I decorated the top of the box with a layered heart and some Real Red 1/2" Shiny ribbon behind it.  I popped that heart up.

When I finished this off-camera, I ended up using a 1" circle punch to make a little thumb tab punch out.  It just makes it easier to open the box.

I like to add the designer series paper to both the top of the box, and the inside.  I think it makes it look a little more finished.

Here's the pattern for those of you that like a visual.

Paper Measurements:
  • Poppy Parade:  6" x 10 3/4"
    • On the 6" side, score at 1 1/4", and 4 3/4"
    • On the 10 3/4" side, score at 1 1/4", 4 3/4", 6", and 9 1/2"
  • Made with Love DSP:  (2) 3 1/4" x 3 1/4"
  • Poppy Parade/Basic White:  enough to die-cut layering heart pieces
Stamps:  Bee My Valentine
Ink:  Poppy Parade
Paper: Poppy Parade, Basic White, Made with Love Designer Series Paper
Other:  Dashes and Frills Hearts dies (Unity Stamp Co), Strawberry Slush and Pretty in Pink Gems, Real Red 1/2" Shiny ribbon

I am going to make a separate video tomorrow for the Two-Compartment box that I had originally planned.  It will have to be a two-piece box (lid and bottom, separate pieces), because of the cardstock size needed.  I'll upload that to YouTube and share the link on my Facebook page when I'm finished.  I really want to make a box that holds two cupcakes, separately!  :)

For the next two Thursdays, I'll be creating another Mini Album - this time using the Love Story Scrapbooking Workshop Kit.  I'm not creating the 12" x 12" layouts that they've designed for this kit.  I'm going to make a chipboard cover mini album with at least 4 pages inside.  I think the finished size will be around 6" x 9".  I'm going to use some of the chipboard pieces that come in our Paper Pumpkin Kits.  It's going to be SWEET!

Thanks for visiting, and Happy stamping!
