More Waterfall Projects! Love Notes and Turtley Cute Birthday!

Happy Sunday Crafty Friends!  These are the fun waterfall projects that I created live on Thursday night.  I've got a Valentine project, and a fun Birthday card!  These waterfalls are so much easier than I ever thought!  I'm pretty sure I messed something up in the live video this week - it happens sometimes.  :)  I hope you enjoy these projects and are inspired to create something on your own.

Just a reminder that I am generally Live on-line every Thursday at 8:00pm ET.  I stream to BOTH YouTube and Facebook simultaneously, but I recommend viewing on YouTube.

If you are not able to catch me live, you can watch over on YouTube.  If the picture does not appear below, you can click HERE to get to it.

First up is a Valentine Tri-fold Waterfall Folio that will hold GIFT CARDS, homemade coupons, love notes or pictures.   It's a 4-panel vertical waterfall inside of a Tri-fold Folio.  Sounds like a lot, but it's really not.  I decorated the front with one of the new Lovely Doilies in Real Red, then some punched out hearts and a hand-cut heart from one of the Love Notes DSP sheets.

Finished size is 4 1/2" x 6" with 1/4" spines.

Paper Measurements:
  • Real Red base:  (2) 6" x 8 1/2", scored at 3 3/4", and 4"
  • Real Red:  4" x 7", scored at 1/2", 1", 1 1/2", 2"
  • Real Red:  (4) 3" x 4"
  • Love Notes DSP:  (4) 2 3/4" x 3 3/4"
  • Real Red:  1" x 5"
  • Made with Love DSP:  (2 prints) 3 1/2" x 5 3/4"
  • Basic White:  4 1/4" x 3 3/4"
  • Real Red:  scrap to punch round-tab
  • Flirty Flamingo/Real Red/Cherry Cobbler/Poppy Parade:  scraps to punch hearts
Open the left side to see the hearts print.

Both sides open to show the waterfall in the middle.  You could add gift cards, or whatever you're using, directly to these panels.  If you don't want to use a punch to make the pull-tab, you can also use ribbon.  Punch a hole at the bottom of that panel and add your ribbon tie.

Here's a look at the waterfall all the way open.  That piece of Basic White needs to be glued as close to the upper score line as possible so that it does not interfere with opening or closing the waterfall.

Stamps:  Seasonal Tags
Ink: Secret Sea, Old Olive, Shaded Spruce
Paper:  Shaded Spruce, Basic White, Elegant Pines Designer series paper
Other:  Everyday Arches dies, Secret Sea 3/8" Faux Linen ribbon, Low Profile Sparkle Dots

The next Waterfall project is a card with a horizontal waterfall inside.  I hand-cut the turtles and balloon directly from the Turtle-y Cute designer series paper pack.  Then I took some retired dies and cut out double layers of Shaded Spruce and Granny Apple Green.  Glue both cardstock layers together to make it a little more sturdy.

In this waterfall, I show you a different way to attach it to your base.

Finished card size is 4 1/2" x 6 1/2".  I'll have to make an envelope to send it in, or use a 5" x 7" envelope.

Paper Measurements:
  • Shaded Spruce:  6 1/2" x 9", scored at 4 1/2"
  • Granny Apple Green:  4 1/4" x 6 1/4"
  • Turtle-y Cute DSP (diagonal stripes): 4" x 6"
  • Shaded Spruce & Granny Apple Green:  scraps to die-cut two layers of each word
  • Shaded Spruce:  4 1/4" x 6 1/4"
  • Shaded Spruce:  3 3/8" x 7 1/2", scored at 1/2", 1", 1 1/2", 2", 2 1/2"
  • Granny Apple Green:  (5) 2" x 3 3/8"
  • Turtle-y Cute DSP:  (5 prints) 1 7/8" x 3 1/4"
  • Shaded Spruce:  1" x 4 1/4"
  • Shaded Spruce:  scrap to punch out round-tab
  • Shaded Spruce:  enough to die-cut letters (HAPPY)
Five panels on this waterfall.  Each one has a single letter die-cut on it - H A P P Y

When the waterfall is fully open, I stamped "birthday"....HAPPY birthday.

I feel like that's plenty of room to write a nice message.

Thanks again for hanging out with me, whether it was watching the video or reading through my blog post here.  I appreciate your time!

This Thursday, I'll be working on some different Valentine's.  HINT:  I went to Walmart today and found some fun things in their Valentine section, AND some heart-shaped cupcakes...so there will definitely be a treat box in the line-up!

Thanks for visiting, and Happy stamping!
