ToniStamps: Love Story Mini Album

Tada! I know it's just an undecorated album so far, but this is my Love Story mini album base. I'm working with the Love Story Scrapbooking Workshop Kit to create this album from scratch. Wrapped chipboard (from Paper Pumpkin kits) covers, a traditional hinge with 1/4" gussets, and pages make this album base.

This album is 6" x 9", with a 2" spine. It should hold 35-40 pictures. The pages are all 5 3/4" x 8 1/2" (landscape orientation). No pocket pages this time, and I'll explain why later on in this post.

I created the BASE of the album in this Part 1 tutorial - wrapped chipboard covers, using the Lay Flat Method created by Country Craft Creations, created the hinges and added pages. I DID have a whoopsie or two moment when I was creating this base...it happens. :) I was able to recover, and still end up with a nice looking album.

I'm going to give all of my cardstock/paper measurements for everything I created in this Part 1 Tutorial, and a few pictures.

Chipboard (from Paper Pumpkin Kits): the chipboard comes 6 1/8", so I didn't trim that side down at all.

Pages laying flat. I did NOT make these as pocket pages, because I was working with the Two-Tone cardstock for these pages. Two-Tone cardstock is not as sturdy as regular cardstock, so I thought it would be too flimsy to make pockets. Instead, I glued these pages to the hinges, then together. The fold is at the top of the pages. (Watching the video might help this make more sense.)

Join me THIS coming Thursday (Jan 22nd) to see my finish the covers, add some pockets, doll up the pages with dsp/stickers/die-cuts from the kit, and create some interesting bits & pieces for this album.

Keep in mind that I've got 7 pages in this album. That's a lot! The most I've had in an album so far. I like to have some symmetry in my album pages, so pages 1 & 7 will be the same, 2 & 6 same, 3 & 5 same, and then page 4 is right in the middle. So I really only need FOUR different page designs.
