Gallery Blooms Projects!

Good afternoon Crafty Friends!

I hope you've had a good weekend!  Today I'm sharing the projects that I made on Thursday night, featuring the Gallery Blooms bundle and coordinating paper pack.  I always say to myself - "How many flower stamps do I need?"  and then I get another one!  I know I'm not alone.  :)  But seriously - take these ideas and designs and re-create using whatever flowers and papers that you have.

Just a reminder that I am generally Live on-line every Thursday at 8:00pm ET.  I stream to BOTH YouTube and Facebook simultaneously.  NOTE:  Facebook has been behaving poorly for quite some time, so I recommend viewing on YouTube.

If you are not able to catch me live, you can watch over on YouTube.  If the picture does not appear below, you can click HERE to get to it on YouTube.

First project is a card with a "framed picture" made from the dies, and the designer series paper.  There are quite a few landscape-y looking prints in this pack of paper.  The are good options if you're trying to build a scenic background.

I cut three of the frames out of Pecan Pie cardstock.  One for the base, then the other two were cut up to make these mitred corner pieces.  I embossed two frames with the Timber folder, going in opposite directions so I could cut the frame pieces like this.  Glue the pieces to the base, which makes it a) thicker like a real frame, and b) sturdier.

The only thing that I'm NOT a fan of is the size of the frame.  It's as wide as an A-2 card, but shorter...me no likey the inconsistency.

Paper Measurements:
  • Basic Beige:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
  • Basic White:  4" x 5 1/4", for inside of card
  • Beautiful Gallery DSP/print #1:  4 1/8" x 5 3/8"
  • Beautiful Gallery DSP/print #2:  I didn't measure this...just held it up behind the frame and cut off edges to fit.
  • Pecan Pie: (3) 4" x 5 1/2", die-cut with Gallery Blooms frame die, embossed two with Timber folder
Once you build your frame and glue the scenic DSP behind it - pop that up on the card front with foam tape or Stampin' Dimensionals.  I stamped the greeting on the back-side of one of the papers, and glued that down flat.

Stamps:  Simply Said
Ink:  Early Espresso
Paper:  Basic Beige, Basic White, Pecan Pie, Beautiful Gallery Designer Series paper
Other:  Gallery Blooms dies, Timber embossing folder, Flower Accents

The second card didn't go according to my plan, but I love how it ended up.  I changed my mind mid-creating...several times.  That's how it goes sometimes!  Even though blue is not my favorite color, I am really liking the new Secret Sea (In Color).

I showed how to do a quick and easy watercolor technique to these flowers, using regular Basic White cardstock, ink pads and aqua painters.

Blue flowers with blue leaves?  YEP!  I wanted this card to be all about the blues - Cloud Cover and Secret Sea.

Paper Measurements:
  • Secret Sea:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
  • Basic White:  4" x 5 1/4", for inside of card
  • Beautiful Gallery DSP/print #1:  1" x 5 1/4"
  • Beautiful Gallery DSP/print #2:  3" x 5 1/4"
  • Basic White:  scrap to stamp/die-cut flowers and hand-cut greeting
Flowers are popped up.  Greeting has some Iridescent Striped ribbon swooped-n-looped behind it and then glued down flat.  Finished off with some Cloud Cover In Color Flat Pearls.

Stamps:  Beautiful Butterflies, Gallery Blooms Bundle
Ink: Cloud Cover, Secret Sea, Tuxedo (Memento)
Paper: Secret Sea, Basic White, Beautiful Gallery DSP
Other:  Iridescent Striped ribbon, In Color Flat Pearls

The third project involves one of my favorite things - ripped paper!  I took the full sheet of Beautiful Gallery DSP and ripped it to size, then I crumpled it up in my hands to give it texture.  I like the uneven and rough look of it.

Paper Measurements:
  • Basic Gray:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
  • Basic White:  4" x 5 1/4", for inside of card
  • Beautiful Gallery DSP:  6" x 6", ripped to size
  • Basic White:  scraps to stamp and die-cut/hand-cut flowers and greeting
Flowers were colored in with various Stampin' Blends.  Add some Wink of Stella to the flowers.

I cut Pretty in Pink ribbon in half and tied a bow with some old lace trim.  Attach that with mini glue dots...I may go back and add a squirt of Fabri-Tac.  I'm not sure how well the glue dots will hold long-term.

Finish off with some Pretty in Pink Gems.

Stamps:  Gallery Blooms Bundle, Beautiful Butterflies
Ink:  Onyx (Versafine), Tuxedo (Memento)
Paper:  Basic Gray, Basic White, Beautiful Gallery DSP
Other:  Stampin' Blends markers (pinks and Old Olive), Pretty in Pink ribbon, Scalloped Lace trim, Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gems, Clear Wink of Stella

The last project is a fun one - a covered notepad that I got from the Dollar Tree.  I love notepads!  Take the magnet off the back of this one, so that you can glue it into this folio-style cover. Finished size is 4 1/4" x 8 1/4".  Notepad is 4" x 8", so adjust accordingly if your notepad is not the same.

I love this project because this notepad folio can go in your purse, tote bag, back pack, car, desk, kitchen counter...anywhere you may need to write notes.

Since the dsp for this suite is 6" x 6", I had to add a couple of embossed strips of cardstock to fill in the front cover.    Very fast project!

Paper Measurements:
  • Mossy Meadow:  8 1/4" x 11", scored at 2 1/4", 6 1/2", 6 3/4"
  • Beautiful Gallery DSP:  4" x 6"
  • Mossy Meadow:  (2) 1" x 4", embossed with Eyelet folder
  • Basic White:  1 3/4" circle
  • Mossy Meadow:  2 1/4" circle
Inside picture shows the left-side pocket that you end up with.

Finish the front with the layered greeting glued down flat, and some Textured Dots.

Stamps:  Simply Said
Ink:  Mossy Meadow
Paper:  Mossy Meadow, Basic White, Beautiful Gallery DSP
Other:  Eyelet embossing folder, Textured Dots, magnetic notepad (Dollar Tree)

Join me this Thursday (6/12/2025) to make a mini album project using a paper bag from Subway.  Yes!  the sandwich shop.  This bag holds foot-long subs.  Let's see what I come up with to re-purpose this trash.  :)

Thanks for visiting, and Happy stamping!
