Natural Botanicals and Woven Textures (and some other stuff)

Happy SATURDAY Night Crafty Peeps!

I had to push my regular Thursday night Live to TONIGHT, and I'm so happy some of you could join me.  If not - take a peek at the video later on.  Tonight I was working with some Online Exclusive products that were not released together, but they definitely work together.  The Natural Botanicals stamp set came out in December 2024, and the Woven Textures Designer Series Papers came out earlier this month (March 2025).   I think BOTH products are great neutrals - they'll go with just about anything, and they really pair well together.  So let's see what I came up with -  as always, if you don't have these exact products, just substitute with something similar OR just copy the designs and go in a completely different direction with colors/stamps/patterns.

Just a reminder that I am generally Live on-line every Thursday at 8:00pm ET.  I stream to BOTH YouTube and Facebook simultaneously.  NOTE:  Facebook has been sporadically giving me fits lately, so I recommend viewing on YouTube.

If you are not able to catch me live, you can watch over on YouTube.  If the picture does not appear below, you can click HERE to get to it on YouTube.

First, I made TWO cards using the same papers.  I couldn't decide on which patterned papers I wanted, so I used them all.  Yay!  You could certainly throw these Woven Textures papers in with other patterned paper.  That would be interesting!

This card is a Tri-Fold Mini Slimline.  Finished size is 3" x 5 1/2", so it will fit in a regular A-2/Medium envelope.  Nice, right?!  I stamped the bigger greenery in two different colors (Granny Apple Green on the left, Mossy Meadow on the right) and hand-cut.

I also showed how and where to add magnets to these tri-fold cards, to keep them closed.  Link to my Amazon store is at the end of this post.  I've got the magnets that I use in that list, if you need some.

Paper Measurements:
  • Pecan Pie:  5 1/2” x 8 1/2”, scored at 2 3/4" from each side.
  • Basic White:  2 3/4" x 5 1/4", for inside
  • Woven Textures Designer Series Paper:  (2 prints) 2 5/8" x 5 3/8"
  • Pecan Pie:  2 1/2" circle
  • Basic White:  2 1/4" circle, stamp greeting
  • Basic White:  scrap to stamp and hand-cut greenery
Stamp the greeting first in Early Espresso ink, then add some smaller greenery.  Pecan Pie circle is glued down flat, and Basic White circle is popped up.

Finish with some doo-dads.  I used Pecan Pie Swirled Dots on the left, and Textured Dots on the right.

Picture of the card opened up:

Stamps:  Natural Botanicals, With You in Mind
Ink:  Early Espresso, Granny Apple Green, Mossy Meadow
Paper:  Pecan Pie, Basic White, Woven Textures Designer Series Paper
Other: 2 1/4" and 2 1/2" Circle punches, Swirled Dots (Pecan Pie), Textured Dots

The second card is a fun technique that I haven't used in a while.  This is a Rip & Reveal Card.  You start with the 4" x 5 1/4" piece of DSP and rip a strip and roll it up.  Stamp the greeting in the opening.  I added some words and splatters to take away some of the white space.

Paper Measurements:
  • Gray Granite:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
  • Basic White:  4" x 5 1/4", for inside of card
  • Woven Textures DSP: 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Basic White:  3 3/4" x 5", goes underneath the DSP right up to that left edge.
I also stamped a flower from the Natural Botanicals.  Colored it quick with just two colors of Stampin' Blends, and hand-cut it.  I did add some Clear Wink of Stella, but I don't think the picture is showing that.

Stamps:  Natural Botanicals, With You in Mind, Elements of Text
Ink: Onyx (Versafine), Tuxedo (Memento), Basic Gray
Paper: Gray Granite, Basic White, Woven Textures Designer Series Paper
Other:  Textured Dots, Clear Wink of Stella marker, Stampin' Blends (Daffodil Delight, Gray Granite)

My third card is another take on this month's Friends of Unity Blog Hop SKETCH card.  Please check out my post from earlier this month, talking all about the sketch.  It's even got a link to the Facebook Group (Unity Show & Tell) where they are having some fun this month!  Make a card using the sketch (and Unity products) and add to the album for a chance to win one of two $25 gift certificates!  So I like this sketch...

It gives you the chance to use three different patterns of paper, if you choose.  You could also use embossed pieces of cardstock instead.  I like the mix of papers though.  I stamped one some of them, and added some ribbon behind the greeting.

Paper Measurements:
  • Pecan Pie:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
  • Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Woven Textures Designer Series paper: (3 different prints) 4" x 5 1/4", 3 1/4" x 4 3/8", 2 3/4"ish circle
  • Early Espresso:  3 3/4" x 4 3/4", cut with Postage dies
  • Pecan Pie:  3" circle, cut with Stylish Shapes dies
Add a bit of Basic Beige ribbon behind the greeting, and that whole thing is popped up with some Stampin' Dimensionals.  Finish off with some Neutrals Sequins in brown and copper.

Stamps:  Natural Botanicals, With You in Mind
Ink:  Pecan Pie, Early Espresso
Paper:  Pecan Pie, Early Espresso, Basic White, Woven Textures Designer series papers
Other:  Stylish Shapes dies, Spotlight on Nature dies, Postage dies (Unity Stamp Co), Basic Beige 3/8" Bordered Ribbon, Neutrals Sequins

My last project is a fun fold card that I got from my friend Sue (Krusin' Through Ink).  It's a tent fold, but you're adding a fun die-cut to the top part.  I used the Countryside Corners dies, embossed the Shy Shamrock layer with an old Corrugated embossing folder.  There is a new "Mini Corrugated" embossing folder available, but I already have this one...

I did have to cut a second Shy Shamrock out of the same Countryside Corners dies and glue the corrugated piece on to that one.  When you emboss a layer like that - no matter which folder you use - it's not as sturdy, especially to use like this.  Only the bottom half is glued to the card base, so that would be too floppy if you didn't add another layer behind it.  Even adding the smaller Basic White layer wouldn't make it sturdy enough (in my mind).

The greeting is stamped in Basic Gray.  Then you'll stamp different leaves in Shy Shamrock and Lemon Lime Twist.  Add some Black dots.

Paper Measurements:
  • Shy Shamrock:  4 1/4" x 6 1/2", scored at 3 1/4"
  • Basic White: 3" x 4", for inside
  • Woven Textures DSP:  3" x 4"
  • Shy Shamrock:  (2) 3" x 4 3/4", cut with Countryside Corners dies.  Emboss one with Corrugated folder
  • Basic White:  2 1/2" x 4", cut with Countryside Corners dies.
Finish with some Shy Shamrock Shimmer Gems!

Stamps:  Natural Botanicals, Tune In, It's Okay
Ink:  Shy Shamrock, Lemon Lime Twist, Basic Gray, Tuxedo (Memento)
Paper:  Shy Shamrock, Basic White, Woven Textures Designer series paper
Other:  Countryside Corners dies, Corrugated embossing folder, 2024-2026 In Color Shimmer Gems

I hope you are inspired to drag out some your stamps and play!

This coming Thursday (3/20), I'll be playing with the Ocean Friends bundle.   Plan on copying my projects with whatever sealife/crab/lobster/coral that you have!

Thanks for visiting, and Happy stamping!
