Mini Star Album in Floral Delight Papers

Hello Friends!

I apologize for being so late with this post from LAST Thursday's projects.  Time has not been on my side the past several days.  Too much going on in the world of Stampin' Up, and I really dislike Spring Ahead time change, so I'm tired.  :)  There.  I've complained enough.  I'll be heading to bed as soon as I finish this post!

Besides all the BLAH that has sucked the life out of me, I really enjoyed making this Mini Star Album last week.  Some call it a Star Book.  Whatever you want to call it - it's COOL.  This one is 4" x 6" finished size, and should hold at least 14 pictures.  More depending on how small you cut or print them.

Just a reminder that I am generally Live on-line every Thursday at 8:00pm ET.  I stream to BOTH YouTube and Facebook simultaneously.  NOTE:  Facebook has been sporadically giving me fits lately, so I recommend viewing on YouTube.

If you are not able to catch me live, you can watch over on YouTube.  If the picture does not appear below, you can click HERE to get to it on YouTube.

I'm going to start off giving you the paper measurements for this project, and then you're going to have to watch the video for assembly.  I used (7) panels of everything.

Paper Measurements:
  • Daffodil Delight Two-Tone:  (7) 4" x 12", scored at 6"
  • Garden Green Two-Tone:  (7) 4" x 10", scored at 5"
  • Floral Delight Designer Series Paper:  (7) 4" x 8", scored at 4"

I like putting covers on the front and back, but some people don't.  You do need ribbon to tie this album shut, and to keep it in the star shape to display.  I like the hide the ribbon by adding the covers.

I did not doll this cover up, because I'm not sure which occasion I'm going to use this book for.  Easter is a good bet, but we'll see.  For now, it's ready for embellishing.

Paper Measurements:
  • Daffodil Delight:  (2) 6" x 8", scored at 1" on all sides.  Cut corners and fold/glue in
  • Daffodil Delight:  (2) 3 7/8" x 5 7/8", embossed with Eyelet folder
I used some old Hello Honey ribbon.

Stamps:  None
Ink:  None
Paper:  Daffodil Delight, Daffodil Delight Two-Tone, Garden Green Two-Tone, Floral Delight Designer series paper
Other:  Eyelet embossing folder, Hello Honey ribbon

This is a fun project, and will only need very few embellishments to the inside pages.  I prefer to add those types of embellishments after I put my pictures in.  The more you add, the more this little book will bulk up.  Using ribbon ties to close an album are perfect for projects that you expect will grow as you add all your bits and pieces.

I had high hopes of making a second album in a different size...I'm not so sure that's going to happen in the near future.  :)  I hope you enjoyed this one though!  :)

Join me Thursday for some work with a few of the Online Exclusive items.  I'm pairing the Natural Botanicals stamps with the Woven Textures DSP pack!  I think these work very well together.

Thanks for visiting, and Happy stamping!
