March 2024 Virtual Workshop - A Little Latte Love

Hello Crafty Friends!  It's a drizzly, dreary day here in Maryland today, but I don't mind it.  :)

This past Thursday night, I demonstrated my March Virtual Workshop.  I featured one of the new Online Exclusive suites this month - A Little Latte.  The Latte Love bundle,, along with the Little Latte papers, ribbon, and Swirl Dots.  I love everything about this suite!  My goal is for you to be able to use ANY coffee or hot drink themed stamps that you might have in your stash.

Check out my Workshop of the Month page for details about my workshop, the ordering specials and the online ordering code.  Short version:  Use code HXADABJN when placing your qualifying order online this month and get some freebies!

Just a reminder that I am generally Live on-line every Thursday at 8:00pm ET.  I stream to BOTH YouTube and Facebook simultaneously.

If you are not able to catch me live, you can watch over on YouTube.  If the picture does not appear below, you can click HERE to get to it on YouTube.

The first card has an embossed tone-on-tone background, and I added a strip of the Little Latte designer series paper along with a few mugs that are cut out directly from the designer series paper.  Easy peasy!  All you need to stamp for this card is the greeting!  Use any greeting you want.  I grabbed this one from the Cheerful Daisies set.

Paper measurements:
  • Lost Lagoon:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2”, scored and folded at 4 1/4”
  • Lost Lagoon:  4" x 5 1/4", embossed with Basics #3 (dots) folder
  • Basic White:  4” x 5 1/4”, for inside of card
  • Little Latte Designer Series Paper:  2" x 5 1/4" (plaid print), and chunk of mug print to hand-cut 3 mugs
  • Basic White:  scrap to stamp/hand-cut or punch greeting

I added some of the Pecan Pie Swirl Dots to finish this one.

Stamps:  Cheerful Daisies
Ink:  Lost Lagoon
Paper: Lost Lagoon, Basic White, Little Latte Designer Series Paper
Other:  Basics #3 embossing folder, Swirl Dots

For the second card, my goal was to show you that you can mix and match colors and prints for your coffee-themed cards.  We don't always have to use browns or coffee prints.  I used the Just Kiddin papers for these.  Azure Afternoon and Berry Burst.

Bonus - these papers and card design are great for ANY theme.  Instead of the coffee cup, you could add a birthday cake, boom box, roller skate, balloons, animal, stars....anything!  This design and these papers are very versatile.

Paper measurements:
  • Azure Afternoon/Berry Burst:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2”, scored and folded at 4 1/4”
  • Basic White:  4” x 5 1/4”, for inside of card
  • Azure Afternoon/Berry Burst:  2 1/4" x 5 1/4"
  • Just Kiddin' DSP:  (2) 1" x 5 1/2", one print; (1) 2" x 5 1/4", second print
  • Azure Afternoon/Berry Burst:  2 1/4" x 2"
  • Basic White:  2 1/4" x 1 3/4"
  • Basic White:  4 1/4" x 5 1/2", notched corner to stamp/cut coffee cup

I did pop up that coffee mug, and added some Clear Wink of Stella to the center design.  Finished off with some Gold Foil gems.

Stamps:  Latte Love, Season of Chic
Ink:  Azure Afternoon, Berry Burst, Pecan Pie, Crumb Cake
Paper:  Azure Afternoon, Berry Burst, Basic White, Just Kiddin Designer Series paper
Other:  Stampin' Blends (Azure Afternoon, Balmy Blue, Berry Burst, Bronze), Clear Wink of Stella, Gold Foil Gems

The third project might be my favorite this month.  This is a 1-2-3-Z-fold (fun fold) idea that I got from my friend Sue (Krusin' Through Ink).  It seems to be a combination of a book binding and z-fold card.  The result is pretty cool!  I also like that you get to see 3 different prints of paper.

Only thing you'll need to stamp on this one is the greeting.  The little cup die-cuts will be included in your make-n-take kit.

Paper measurements:
  • Pecan Pie:  4 1/4" x 11", scored at 2 1/8", 4 1/4", and 5 1/2"
  • Pecan Pie:  3 1/4" x 4 1/4"
  • Little Latte Designer Series Paper (3 different prints):  (1) 1" x 4", (1) 2" x 4", (1) 3" x 4"
  • Basic White:  2" x 4"
  • Pecan Pie:  scrap to punch out Decorative Circle
  • Basic White:  2" circle
You'll need to watch the video for assembly.

Top view, so you can see the Z-fold part -

Finish with some of the Pecan Pie Swirl Dots.

Stamps: Latte Love bundle
Ink:  Lost Lagoon
Paper:  Pecan Pie, Petal Pink, Lost Lagoon, Lemon Lolly, Basic White, Little Latte Designer series paper
Other:   Decorative and 2" Circle punches, Swirl Dots

The last project is an extra-large tag.  This one is 3" x 6"...I like that size for tags.  You can tie this on a gift bag, mail it to a friend with a message on the back, use it in a journal or mini scrapbook, or even use it as a bookmark for paper books.  Tags are SO versatile!

I stamped the coffee mug on Basic White with Mossy Meadow ink, then ink blended all over it to color it in.  Then die-cut it.

Paper measurements:
  • Early Espresso:  3" x 6"
  • Little Latte Designer series paper:  2 3/4" x 5 3/4"
  • Basic White:  2 3/4" x 5 3/4", for back of tag
  • Pecan Pie:  1 1/2" x 2 3/4", embossed with Painted Texture folder
  • Basic White:  4 1/4" x 5 1/2", notched corner to stamp and cut out coffee mug and greeting
I'm including the Jumbo Eyelet for this tag, and a length of the Natural 3/8" Polka Dot trim.  You'll need some linen thread or baker's twine to add.

Add some of the Vanilla Swirl Dots to finish.

Stamps:  Latte Love bundle, Circle Sayings
Ink:   Mossy Meadow, Early Espresso
Paper:  Early Espresso, Pecan Pie, Basic White, Little Latte Designer series paper
Other:  Painted Texture embossing folder, Natural 3/8" Polka Dot trim, Linen thread, Swirl Dots, Jumbo eyelet (Pewter, I think).
