Bee Mine Online Class - Part 1 of 2

Hi Crafty Friends!

Tonight, I shared 3-D projects for Part 1 of my Bee Mine Online Class. Tomorrow night, we'll make cards. I'm using the Bee Mine Suite, but you can use any bee stamps you have really.

My Online classes are free for everyone to watch and craft along. I love for you to case my cards with your own materials.  Otherwise, I also offer a class packet (US only, sorry).

I have a short turn around time for my online classes, so your order, using Code: 2YCYAEBV (which is your RSVP) is due by Monday, 1/22/2024 if you are interested in this card class.  Details are all below, and also on THIS page.

Click HERE if the video below doesn't show up.

Want a class packet?  They are FREE with a $75 purchase (US only, sorry), by 1/22/2024.  You MUST use Code: 2YCYAEBV when placing your order.    Click HERE to place your order with the code already added for you.  Your order is your RSVP.

I suggest ordering the Bee Mine Suite, because we will be using everything in that Suite.  If you already have the items, or you just want to use a different stamp set, you'll need to order $75 of anything else that you want.

You will NEED the Bee Mine Designer Series paper, the Sweet Sorbet ribbon, the Hearts & Flowers gems, and the Square Pillow boxes to complete all of the class projects.  If you already have these things, great!  If not, you will need to order them.  You will cut your own DSP.

Here are item numbers for your convenience:

#162560    Bee Mine Suite Collection  $75.00

#162558    Sweet Sorbet 1/4" Bordered Ribbon  $8.00

#162559    Square Pillow Boxes  $8.00

#162557    Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers  $8.00

#162546    Bee Mine Designer Series Paper  $12.50

You will also select a $50 Sale-a-Bration item at checkout, when placing your order!

Packets will be mailed to the address that your Stampin' Up order is sent to.  Packets will be mailed the week of January 29th.

Again - you will be cutting your own Designer Series papers.  Follow along with the video for specific cutting tips.

Like I said, tonight I made a few 3-D projects.   This first project is always a favorite of mine - a covered notebook.  This is a 5" x 8" notepad, that I got from Walmart.  Very simple, but we're adding a ribbon closure.

Paper measurements:
  • Basic Black (cover):  8 1/4" x 10 1/2", scored at 5 1/8", and 5 3/8"
  • Sweet Sorbet:  (2) 4 1/4" x 7 1/2"
  • Bee Mine Designer Series Paper (smaller bee print):  (2) 4" x 7 1/4"
  • Sweet Sorbet:  scrap to punch out Decorative Circle punch
  • Basic White:  2" circle
  • Basic White:  4 1/4" x 5 1/2", notched corner to stamp and punch/cut bee parts
Glue the notepad directly onto the Basic Black cover.  This is a one-time use for me.  Once I use up the notepad, I'll toss it all and make a new one!

Add your Sweet Sorbet ribbon to the outside (front and back) of the black cover, BEFORE you lay down your DSP/Sweet Sorbet layers.

I glued my bee down flat, but you could pop things up if you want.  I generally keep notepad covers flat-ish.  I am rough on my notepads, so anything popped up with dimensionals is very likely to come off.

Finish off with a few of the little Sweet Sorbet hearts from Hearts & Flowers gem pack.

Stamps:  Bee My Valentine bundle
Ink:  Daffodil Delight, Tuxedo Black Memento, Petal Pink
Paper:  Basic Black, Sweet Sorbet, Basic White, Bee Mine Designer series paper
Other:  Decorative Circle punch, 2" circle punch, Sweet Sorbet 1/4" Bordered Ribbon, Clear Wink of Stella marker, Hearts & Flowers gems

My second project is one of the Square Pillow Boxes.  I used my rubber brayer to color this one Petal Pink.  Admittedly...this is a little dark for my liking.  I should have used Lemon Lolly...something much lighter.  BUT - this chubby bunny is the CUTEST thing!  I've been holding back this bunny idea for weeks.  Reminds me of a chubby Peep!

If you don't have a rubber brayer to color your pillow box - use blending brushes, or even sponges.  You could also drag your ink pad directly across the pillow box and then try to smooth out the color/ink.  You could also spray/speckle these - like a speckled egg!!! That's another idea I need to try!

Paper measurements:
  • Basic White:  2 1/2" to punch out Decorative Circle punch
  • Basic White: 2" circle, embossed with Basics #2 folder
  • Basic White:  4 1/4" x 5 1/2", notched corner to stamp/cut bunny and words
Layer the circle punched pieces and glue to box flat.  Pop up the bunny with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Stamp the "you're as sweet as honey" in Petal Pink, and hand-cut just the two words you need!

Add your words and some flowers.

Stamps:  Bee My Valentine bundle
Ink:  Petal Pink, Highland Heather, Tuxedo Black Memento
Paper:  Basic White, Square Pillow Boxes
Other:  Decorative & 2" Circle punches, Basics #2 embossing folder, Clear Wink of Stella, Hearts & Flowers gems

The third card project for tonight is another Square Pillow Box. This time, I show you how to cover the front/sides of it with designer series paper and Adhesive Sheets. Make a cute tag and tie it up with some of your ribbon.

Paper measurements:
  • Lemon Lime Twist:  2 1/8" x 3", cut with Something Fancy die
  • Lemon Lime Twist:  1 3/4" x 2 1/8"
  • Basic White:  4 1/4" x 5 1/2", notched corner to stamp/punch/cut bee and words

I popped up my bee on the tag, but glued the words down flat.  Finish off with some of the Sweet Sorbet flowers.

Wink of Stella all over the bee's wings.

Stamps:  Bee My Valentine bundle
Ink:  Daffodil Delight, Petal Pink, Sweet Sorbet, Tuxedo Memento
Paper:  Lemon Lime Twist, Basic White, Bee Mine Designer series paper
Other:  Adhesive Sheets, Something Fancy dies, Sweet Sorbet 1/4" Bordered ribbon, Hearts & Flowers gems, Clear Wink of Stella

This picture shows you the back side.  I only covered the front.  I guess I could be less stingy with the paper - cut a 6" x 12" piece and cover the entire pillow box.

Reminder:  Place your $75 order, using Code: 2YCYAEBV by Monday, 1/22/2024 if you'd like to receive a class packet.

Thanks for stopping by, and I'll be back tomorrow with the CARDS for my Bee Mine Online Class!
