Bee Mine Online Class - Part 2 of 2

Happy Monday Friends!

Tonight, I created cards for Part 2 of my Bee Mine Online Class. Last night, I made 3-D projects, so go back and watch that video if you need to. I'm using the Bee Mine Suite, but you can use any bee stamps you have really.

My Online classes are free for everyone to watch and craft along. I love for you to case my cards with your own materials.  Otherwise, I also offer a class packet (US only, sorry).

I have a short turn around time for my online classes, so your order, using Code: 2YCYAEBV (which is your RSVP) is due by Monday, 1/22/2024 if you are interested in this card class.  Details are all below, and also on THIS page.

Click HERE if the video below doesn't show up.

Want a class packet?  They are FREE with a $75 purchase (US only, sorry), by 1/22/2024.  You MUST use Code: 2YCYAEBV when placing your order.    Click HERE to place your order with the code already added for you.  Your order is your RSVP.

I suggest ordering the Bee Mine Suite, because we will be using everything in that Suite.  If you already have the items, or you just want to use a different stamp set, you'll need to order $75 of anything else that you want.

You will NEED the Bee Mine Designer Series paper, the Sweet Sorbet ribbon, the Hearts & Flowers gems, and the Square Pillow boxes to complete all of the class projects.  If you already have these things, great!  If not, you will need to order them.  You will cut your own DSP.

Here are item numbers for your convenience:

#162560    Bee Mine Suite Collection  $75.00

#162558    Sweet Sorbet 1/4" Bordered Ribbon  $8.00

#162559    Square Pillow Boxes  $8.00

#162557    Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers  $8.00

#162546    Bee Mine Designer Series Paper  $12.50

You will also select a $50 Sale-a-Bration item at checkout, when placing your order!

Packets will be mailed to the address that your Stampin' Up order is sent to.  Packets will be mailed the week of January 29th.

Again - you will be cutting your own Designer Series papers.  Follow along with the video for specific cutting tips.

Tonight is all about cards.  This first one is going in a non-bee direction.  I wanted the idea of a windowsill garden, kind of.  Add a couple of bits of the matching designer series paper and stamp a line of flowers and stems.   You could add any greeting, but I chose one from the Bee My Valentine stamp set.

Paper measurements:
  • Pool Party:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 14"
  • Basic White:  4" x 5 1/4", for inside of card
  • Pool Party:  4" x 5 1/4", embossed with Distressed Tile folder
  • Basic White:  2 1/2" x 4 1/8", cut with Countryside Corners die
  • Pool Party:  2 1/2" x 4 1/8", cut with same Countryside Corners die, embossed with Cane Weave folder
  • Bee Mine Designer Series Paper:  (2) 1 3/4" x 2 1/4", pay attention to the direction of the flowers
  • Basic White:  4 1/4" x 5 1/2", notched corner to stamp greeting
Cut your Cane Weave-embossed Countryside Corners piece of Pool Party in half to make the windowsill gardenbox.

Finish off with a few flowers from Hearts & Flowers gem pack.

Stamps:  Bee My Valentine bundle
Ink:  Sweet Sorbet, Petal Pink, Lemon Lime Twist, Pool Party
Paper:  Pool Party, Basic White, Bee Mine Designer series paper
Other:  Distressed Tile & Cane Weave embossing folders, Countryside Corners dies, Sweet Sorbet 1/4" Bordered Ribbon, Hearts & Flowers gems

My second card is a fun pocket card!  Make the pocket out of a strip of the designer series paper, then make a card to slide into the pocket.  Cut your flaps at the diagonals to make the pocket.  Hand-cut a honeypot or two out of the diagonal scraps that you cut off.

One thing I suggest is you make your card, with all the layers and bits and pieces, slide it into the pocket, and THEN tie your ribbon around.  I always tape my ribbon to the back of the card too, so it doesn't fall off.

Paper measurements:
  • Bee Mine Designer Series Paper:  4" x 12", scored in 3 1/4" from each end.
  • Daffodil Delight:  5 1/4" x 7", scored at 3 1/2"
  • Daffodil Delight:  3 1/4" x 5", embossed with Painted Texture folder
  • Basic White:  3 1/4" x 5", for inside of card
  • Sweet Sorbet:  2" x 2 3/4", cut with Nested Essentials die, then embossed with Basics #4 folder
  • Basic White:  5/8" x 5", to stamp greeting
  • Basic White:  4 1/4" x 5 1/2", notched corner to stamp/punch bee
You can see the card here - greeting strip at the bottom.

The bee and honey pot are both glued down flat to the card front.

Finish with some Daffodil hearts.

Stamps:  Bee My Valentine bundle
Ink:  Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, Tuxedo Black Memento, Onxy Versafine
Paper:  Daffodil Delight, Sweet Sorbet, Basic White, Bee Mine Designer Series Paper
Other:  Nested Essentials Dies, Painted Texture & Basics #3 embossing folders, Clear Wink of Stella marker, Sweet Sorbet 1/4" Bordered ribbon, Hearts & Flowers gems

The third card project for tonight is a Double Z-Fold, that I got from Sue a few months ago. You can add more or less to these panels. I let the designer series paper do most of the heavy lifting here. I just added a couple of bees and a greeting.

Paper measurements:
  • Sweet Sorbet:  4 1/4" x 11", scored at 2 3/4", and 5 1/2"
  • Petal Pink:  3" x 9", scored at 3", and 6"
  • Sweet Sorbet:  (3) 2 1/2" x 2 1/2"
  • Bee Mine Designer Series Papers - different patterns:
    • (2)  2 1/2" x 4"
    • (1)  4" x 5 1/4"
    • (3)  2 1/4" x 2 1/4"
  • Basic White:  (2) 4 1/4" x 5 1/2", notched corners to stamp and punch as many bees or hearts as you want
Here's another angle of the card - sorry for the lighting.

Finish off with a few hearts.

Wink of Stella all over the bee's wings.

Stamps:  Bee My Valentine bundle
Ink:  Daffodil Delight, Petal Pink, Sweet Sorbet, Tuxedo Memento
Paper:  Sweet Sorbet, Petal Pink, Basic White, Bee Mine Designer series paper
Other:  Hearts & Flowers gems, Clear Wink of Stella

The last card might be my favorite.  I am SO over the moon about making BUNNIES out of this bee stamp!  Use the bee body and wings to make a chubby bunny.  I stamped a row of flowers and stems first.  Then stamped and hand-cut all my bunnies.  Line them up...then had to re-stamp some flowers.

Paper measurements:
  • Petal Pink:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
  • Basic White:  4" x 5 1/4", for inside of card
  • Sweet Sorbet:  3 3/4" x 5 1/2"
  • Basic White:  3 1/2" x 5 1/2"
  • Basic White:  4 1/4" x 5 1/2", notched corner to stamp and hand-cut bunnies
For the Daffodil Delight and Pool Party bunnies, I stamped off ONCE for their bodies, then stamped the ears full-strength.  The Petal Pink bunny is all full-strength.

Finish off with a few more flower gems.

Stamps:  Bee My Valentine, Throughout the Year
Ink:  Daffodil Delight, Petal Pink, Sweet Sorbet,  Pool Party, Lemon Lime Twist, Tuxedo Memento
Paper:  Sweet Sorbet, Petal Pink, Basic White
Other:  Sweet Sorbet 1/4" Bordered ribbon, Hearts & Flowers gems, Clear Wink of Stella

Reminder:  Place your $75 order, using Code: 2YCYAEBV by Monday, 1/22/2024 if you'd like to receive a class packet.

Thanks for stopping by, and I'll be back tomorrow with the CARDS for my Bee Mine Online Class!
