Graduation Card 2023 - Congrats!

It's Graduation season, right?  This is the only card I've made this year, and it's going in the mail tomorrow.  I think the school colors are Navy and a yellow-gold, so I went with Night of Navy and the NEW In Color - Wild Wheat.  I like them together!!

I took the "congrats" from Seriously the Best and stamped it in Night of Navy and Wild Wheat.  I started at the bottom and did this free-hand - no stamparatus involved!  Stamped full strength twice, then stamped off once - in each color.

I stamped the graduate on a separate piece, and colored him in with various markers.  Some alcohol, one regular (wild Wheat).  Hand-cut him, and popped up with lots of dimensionals.  Add a few Night of Navy enamel dots.

I also like to put a Mini Envelope inside the card, so I can tuck in whatever they're getting - cash, check, or gift cards.  I do this same thing for wedding and birthday cards.

Paper Measurements:
  • Night of Navy:  6" x 8", scored and folded in half at 4"
  • Wild Wheat:  3 3/4" x 5 3/4"
  • Basic White:  3 3/4" x 5 3/4", for inside of the card
  • Basic White:  3 9/16" x 5 9/16"
  • Wild Wheat/Basic White:  scraps to make strip across mini envelope
  • Basic White:  scrap to stamp and cut out graduate.
I also made an envelope for this, since it was a 4" x 6" card.  I used the left over bit of the Wild Wheat piece of cardstock, and did some trimming and folding.  No real measurements.  Added a strip of Night of Navy at the top for the closure.  I will glue this shut.

I'll be live this Thursday to show you how to make Bay Window cards, so tune in!  Either YouTube or Facebook.

Thanks for visiting, and Happy stamping!
