Happy Monday Friends!
I needed two birthday cards for this week, and Sue shared this great design using up some small strips of papers. Perfect solution since I had some bits of this Happy Forest Friends designer papers left over.
Design is the same for both, just different patterns, and some different bits stamped and cut out.
For this first one, I added a cut out tree slice, with some mushrooms. Old Olive bow at the top, and some teeny tiny mushrooms cut directly from the paper. The greeting and mushrooms are popped up. Finished off with some Metallic Dots.
This one has a few acorns stamped, hand-cut and popped up. Used just two prints of the papers, and finished off with some Champange rhinestones.
Paper measurements:
- Old Olive: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded in half at 4 1/4".
- Sahara Sand: 4" x 5 1/4"
- Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4", for inside of card
- Happy Forest Friends designer series paper: (2) 1" x 4", and (2) 1" x 2 3/4"
- Basic White/Sahara Sand: 1 5/8"ish x 2 7/8"ish for center. I had to trim mine down some.
I also used Biggest Wishes for both of the cards - different fonts for the Happy and Birthday on each.
Stamps: Rooted in Nature, Biggest Wish
Ink: Sahara Sand, Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Poppy Parade
Paper: Old Olive, Sahara Sand, Basic White, Happy Forest Friends Designer Series paper
Other: Champange Rhinestones, Metallic Dots, Old Olive/Sahara Sand Twill ribbon combo pack
I hope you give this design a try! It's fast and easy. If you don't have designer series paper bits and pieces - use different colors of cardstock, embossed with some different folders. That would be interesting!
