Happy Sunday Crafty Friends!
I realized last week that I never shared the birthday card that I made for my mom last month. For the past 20+ years, I've made her birthday card using a hydrangea of some kind. This year's card used some Hydrangea designer series papers from last year, with a die cut "Happy", and then stamped out birthday. The Happy die-cut is actually two layers, glued together, and then I brushed Clear Wink of Stella all over it. The only thing popped up is "birthday". Finished if off with some Pastel Pearls.
I also made her a set of hydrangea cards, which she unfortunately never got the chance to use. I used pieces from the same Hydrangea designer series paper pack - I'm down to my last 2 or so sheets of this pack. I had been saving it for projects for her. :( All of these cards are either Highland Heather or Roccoco Rose. Some have die-cut butterflies. One has a ladybug trinket glued on.
I did find them pretty quickly when we started trying to organize and de-clutter her house a few weeks ago. I have them back in my possession, and will just use them myself.

Those beauties are frame worthy. I just found a list of cards that I sent your mom so I wouldn’t duplicate any. She was taken too soon.

ReplyDeleteThanks Helen! The 4 cards that I made are the other picture in this post. I just realized that I never posted a picture of the frame that I made of her, for her funeral service. I made a video, but no post. I'll fix that soon. Thanks again.
