{BYSHC} Two Year Celebration and Challenges! Day 1

Happy Friday Crafty friends!

I had to go to the dentist today, and I'm already late for work so I figured I'd post this now.  :)  

The Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers are celebrating TWO years of challenges and card making!  We have a few challenges (with prizes) this week, which you will find on the Facebook Group.

Challenges are:

1. Non-Traditional Christmas Colors
2. Show us a picture of your Christmas Card Stash
3. Anything Goes Christmas Card
4. Anything But a Card Christmas Project

I'm starting off with something for the Anything But a Card Christmas Project - I've made a tag.  I love making tags because you can use them on packages, as a bookmark, tucked in a junk journal, or scrapbook, or send them to a friend. So versatile!

This tag is pretty simple - layer some designer paper on Evening Evergreen cardstsock.  Then stamp and gold-emboss a greeting and some doves.  Hand-cut the doves, and color in with Gold Wink of Stella.

I paired some Evening Evergreen and Pool Party ribbon together for this tag.  My Ott-Lite really makes the Pool Party look like Pool Party.  :)  But with my own eyeballs, it actually matches the Soft Succulent in the paper quite nicely.  Guess my eyes aren't 100%. 

I popped the greeting and all of the doves up with Stampin' Dimensionals, and added some Gilded Gems to finish.

TIP:  When you cut the scalloped circle out of golf foil - try to remember to cut a smaller circle out of it.  This stretches your gold foil further, and you'll have another layer to use on another project!
