Happy Saturday Friends!
In this week's video, I shared a few projects using the NEW True Beauty products - True Beauty stamps/dies bundle, the Awash in Beauty designer series papers, and the Iridescent Pearls. They're all so gorgeous!
Just a reminder that I am Live on-line every Thursday at 8:00pm ET. I am streaming to BOTH YouTube and Facebook simultaneously.
If you are not able to catch me live, you can watch over on YouTube. If the picture does not appear below, you can click HERE to get to it on YouTube.
For the first project, I started with a Pop Up Front Step Panel card that I made the base for on Tuesday night (during my May 2022 Online Class - Abstract Beauty). This card is really pretty easy. I've seeen a few different measurements, as far as scoring and placement of the front step panel.
I like my front step panel close to the bottom of the card. The very bottom. Some people scootch it up a little bit. To each their own!
Paper Measurements:
- Blushing Bride: 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2", 6 3/4", 8 3/4", and 10"
- Abstract Beauty DSP (Blushing Bride/Just Jade/gold print): 4" x 5 1/4"
- Abstract Beauty DSP (Just Jade dots print): 1" x 4", 1 3/4" x 4"
- Blushing Bride: 2 3/4" x 5 5/8", scored on long side at 3/8", 1 5/8"
- Basic White: 2 1/2" x 3 3/4" (I had to draw a plaid print on a plain piece here. I had pre-embossed a piece with the Brick & Mortar folder, but could not find it.)
- Basic White & Blushing Bride: enough scraps to stamp/cut flower and punch greeting
Here's a picture of it standing up. Sorry about the bad lighting.
Stamps: True Beauty
Ink: Blushing Bride, Just Jade (yes, I know it's retired...)
Paper: Blushing Bride, Basic White, Abstract Beauty Designer Series papers
Other: Double Oval punch, Just Jade Stampin' Blends, Clear Wink of Stella marker, Iridescent Pearls
Next up is an easy card that focuses on the Awash in Beauty designer series papers. This particular pattern is so beautiful on it's own. I went with Merry Merlot and Granny Apple Green as my main colors - both pulled right from the DSP pack.
Paper measurements:
- Merry Merlot: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored in half at 4 1/4"
- Granny Apple Green: 4" x 5 1/4", embossed with Painted Textures folder
- Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4", for inside of card
- Merry Merlot: 3 1/4" x 5 1/4"
- Awash in Beauty DSP: 3" x 5 1/4"
- Merry Merlot and Basic White: scraps to stamp and punch out greeting
Greeing is popped up, and everything else is glued down flat. Add some more of those Iridescent Pearls!
Stamps: Flowing Flowers
Ink: Mossy Meadow
Paper: Merry Merlot, Granny Apple Green, Basic White, Awash in Beauty Designer series paper
Other: Painted Textures embossing folder, Double Oval punch, Iridescent Pearls
For the last card, I wanted to showcase the lattice die that is part of the Organic Beauty dies. This is really cool to work with! The lattice die cut ends up being just a hair over 4" x 5 1/4", so I cut a piece of Basic White that size and stamped flowers and greenery on the White...then overlayed the Gold Foil lattice. Beautiful!
Add another rose and petals, and the greeting. I die-cut the greeting from the Amazing Thanks dies, and then embossed just the bottom part with gold. It doesn't really stand out very well against all those flowers.
Just prior to this post, I re-did the greeting in white (still did the partial emossing), and glue it right on top of the green greeting. It stood out more, but I still wasn't happy. So then I went and colored the white with my Light Petal Pink Stampin' Blend. It's a little better. Might have been best just to die-cut the whole word out of gold foil!
Paper measurements:
- Pear Pizzazz: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
- Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4" (2 pieces), one for inside of card, and one to stamp all over for front
- Gold Foil: 4" x 5 1/4", cut with lattie die
- Pear Pizzazz and Basic White: just enough to stamp/die cut flowers/stem/greeting
Flowers are all popped up, and greeting is glued TO the flowers.
Here's the white greeting -
Stamps: True Beauty bundle
Ink: So Saffron, Petal Pink, Blushing Bride, Highland Heather, Pear Pizzazz, Versamark
Paper: Pear Pizzazz, Basic White, Gold Foil
Other: Metallic embossing powders (gold), Petal Pink ribbon. Clear Wink of Stella, Iridescent Pearls
I hope you liked this little taste of the True Beauty suite. There is so much more that we can do with it!
Thanks for visiting, and Happy stamping!
