Happy Mother's Day everyone!
Now that I've given, and mailed my Mother's Day cards, I can share with you. These are the cards and envelopes that I made this year. I used a brand new flower set, True Beauty, along with two greetings. Design and measurements are exactly the same for all. I just changed up the colors.
Paper Measurements:
- Basic White Thick 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
- Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4"
- Basic White: 3 13/16" x 5 1/16"
- Basic White: scraps to stamp and punch out greeting with Double Oval punch
I'll show every version, and list the colors out for each. I used Pastel Pearls on all of them.
Going left to right from the picture, first up is the blues. Inks used are Balmy Blue, Misty Moonlight, Dapper Denim, Soft Seafoam and Pear Pizzazz.
Next up is the purples. Inks used are: Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Soft Seafoam, and Pear Pizzazz.
Last is the pinks. Ink colors are Pink Pirouette, Powder Pink, Blushing Bride, Soft Seafoam, and Pear Pizzazz.
Stamps: True Beauty, Sweet & Simple Salutations, Happy & Heartfelt
Ink: already listed with each picture
Paper: Basic White Thick and regular
Other: Pastel Pearls
I also made a gift box for a few little things for my mom. I needed a piece of Gorgeous Grape 12" x 12" for the box bottom. Regular Highland Heather for the lid. Keep reading for measurements.
Box top has flower from True Beauty, and speckles from Itty Bitty Backgrounds stamped all over.
Finished box size is 5 3/4" x 5 3/4" x 2 1/4" tall.
Let's talk paper measurements and scoring for the box pieces -
For the Box BOTTOM - you'll need 12" x 12" piece.
- Cut cardstock to 10 3/16" x 10 3/16" (that's 10 1/4", minus 1/16")
- Score each side at 2 1/4"
- Cut tabs, fold in, and glue.
For the Box TOP - you'll need a regular 8 1/2" x 11" piece of cardstock.
- Cut cardstock to 7 3/4' x 7 3/4"
- Score each side at 1"
- Cut tabs, fold in, and glue.
