One Sheet Wonder - using (4) pieces of 6" x 6"

Happy Saturday Crafty Friends!

I'm at a crop today, on my laptop right now instead of crafting - but it's still good times.  I'm definitely enjoying the company!  As soon as I'm done computer work, I'll get into the two Paper Pumpkin kits that I brought!

For now - let's look at what some of my stamping friends worked on together last month.  We used a One Sheet Wonder idea that I found from Lynn Dunn.  This one used (4) pieces of designer series paper, and yielded (7) finished cards.

One Sheet pattern:  Cut a 3/4 inch wide piece off of the bottom of the paper. Turn the paper and cut on the long side at 1", and 2". You will be left with a 1 x 5-1/4, 2 x 5-1/4 and 3 x 5-1/4 inch piece. Cut a total of four sheets of 6" x 6" inch designer series paper, using these measurements.  From each piece, you will get these cut pieces:
  • 3/4" x 6"
  • 1" x 5 1/4"
  • 2" x 5 1/4" - turn this and cut at 3", so you have 2" x 3", and 2" x 2 1/4" pieces.
  • 3" x 5 1/4"
Now it's a matter of mixing and matching the different pieces and patterns to get some really cool cards.  I used plenty of diffferent colored card bases (pulled the colors right from my Sunshine & Rainbows designer series papers), some embossing folders, and bling to jazz up these Easter cards.  I stamped this Easter bunny image, colored her with various Stampin' Blends markers, and hand-cut.  I think I added Wink of Stella all over too.

I should have taken individual pictures, but this will do.  Let's work our way around from the top left...

Mango Melody card - I used the 2" x 3" pieces of dsp.  Just layered them over top each other.  Bunny is popped up.

Polished Pink card - I used one of the 3" x 5 1/4" and 1" x 5 1/4" pieces.  Added the bunny stamped, trimmed down and mounted on to a piece of Polished Pink cut with the Stitched So Sweetly dies.

Bermuda Bay card - I use the 3/4" strips on this one, trimmed the extra bits that were hanging off the edge.

Misty Moonlight card - Again, I used one of the 3" x 5 1/4" and 1" x 5 1/4" pieces.  Stamped the bunny on a scalloped rectangle of white, cut from the Stitched So Sweetly dies.  That whole layer is popped up.

This picture just shows some of the Iridescent Rhinestones that I used.

A few more of these fun, bright cards!  I really love this Easter bunny.  I just bought the whole set from someone on Facebook.

Magenta Madness card - I used all of the 2" x 2" squares on this one, and then added a piece of Magena Madness that I embossed with the Hive folder.  Bunny is hand-cut and popped up.

So Saffron and Granny Apple Green cards - Again, I used the 3" x 5 1/4" and 1" x 5 1/4" pieces.  Mix and match those patterns!

Close-up of the Magenta Madness card...see that Hive folder.  LOVE.  IT. :)

Supplies you'll need to create these (Stampin' Up, unless otherwise noted.  Items may be retired.):

NOW - let's look at some of the cards that the other gals made!  I absolutely love how everyone's cards turn out differently with their different paper choices.  Some came up with their own designs using the pieces that we cut.  They're all fantastic!

Seeing their paper choices again makes me want to root through my stacks and re-find some of these!

Hope you enjoy our creations.

Thanks for visiting, and Happy stamping!
