Eden's Garden Projects

Hello Crafty Friends!  This week, I'm sharing some great projects using the upcoming Eden's Garden products!  This is an early release offering.  The stamp set/die bundle (which I did not buy) will be in the upcoming Jan-Jun Catalog.

The papers and gems that I'm showcasing tonight are WHILE SUPPLIES LAST Only, and they are NOT available in the upcoming Jan-Jun catalog.  So get those three products while you can.  All of these products will be available on November 2nd...and again, while supplies last for the products that I'm focusing on tonight.

My goal tonight is to show you that while these papers and doo-dads are very Holiday-looking...they are truly multi-purpose, and we can get a lot of mileage out of them.

Just a reminder that as of now, I go Live every Thursday at 8:00pm ET.  It's just a matter of where I will be - ideally on my Facebook Page, but may be on my YouTube channel.  Facebook has been giving me such a hard time with the Live videos lately, but they are my first choice.

As always, we'll start in the upper left corner of the picture, and work around clock-wise.  My first project is a Christmas card.  I said these products are NOT just for Christmas, but let's get this one out there first.  :)  I'm using ALL of the Eden's Garden papers and gems on this one card.

I've got 3 panels of the designer series papers.  Note that the measurements seem CRAZY - I'm using 16ths...but it all works out perfectly in the end.  Layer your 3 panels on a piece of cardstock, then mount that to some gold foil.

The poinsettia was stamped on the Ever Eden Cotton Paper, and the cut with the Poinsettia Petals dies.  I glued all those poinsettia layers down flat...I didn't pop any of that up.

Paper measurements:
  • Evening Evergreen: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
  • Gold Foil: 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4" (for inside of card)
  • Evening Evergreen: 3 13/16" x 5" (to glue down your dsp panels to)
  • Ever Eden Designer Series Paper, (3) different prints:  1 11/16" x 3 13/16"
  • Ever Eden Cotton Paper, Evening Evergreen:  3 1/2" x 12" piece to stamp and die cut poinsettia
  • Basic White & Evening Evergreen:  scraps to stamp/punch greeting

Everything is glued down flat to the gold foil, and then the Gold Foil layer is all popped up with foam tape.  Finish this off with a BUNCH of the Garden Gems in the center of the poinsettia.

Stamps:  Poinsettia Petals
Ink:  Evening Evergreen, Versamark
Paper:  Evening Evergreen, Gold Foil, Basic White, Ever Eden designer series paper, Ever Eden Cotton Paper
Other:  Gold embossing powder, Garden Gems

Next up is a really FUN pocket!  This can be a Happy Mail kind of project - load it up with stuff and mail to a friend.  It can be a floating pocket for a journal.  you could add a hinge and add it to a mini scrapbook or journal as a page on it's own.  Lots of possibilities!

There's a diagonal pocket on the front, a diagonal pocket on the back, and a pocket in the middle.  I made my middle pocket a top-loading pocket, but you could certainly make it side-loading. I have pulled the tag in the middle pocket up, so you can see the print.  It really sits further down.

I started off with an 8" x 8" piece of the Ever Eden designer series paper.  You'll really need to watch the video for the folding and assembly, but I'll show you all the stuff I put in it.

Here's the front diagonal pocket, with the "hello Friend" layer.  I love those Garden Gems!

Here's the back pocket, with the two tags.

Here's everything laid out.  I've got the main pocket, a 3" x 3" mini card that goes in the front pocket, the layered tag, and then the two die cut tags.  All sorts of ribbons, and of course - the Garden Gems!

Paper measurements:
  • Base Pocket, Ever Eden Designer Series Paper:  8" x 8"
  • Mini 3" x 3" Card:  Soft Succulent 3" x 6", folded in half; Ever Eden designer series paper, 2 7/8" x 2 7/8"; Basic White, scrap for greeting.
  • Layered Tag: Evening Evergreen, 3 3/8" x 4"; Ever Eden designer series paper, 3 1/4" x 3 7/8"
  • Tailored Tags (dies): Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen, 2 1/2" x 4"

I really love this kind of a project.  It hits the journaling bits theme that I like, but it also can be filled with joy and mailed to someone special!

Stamps: Biggest Wish
Ink:  Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen
Paper:  Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen, Basic White, Ever Eden Designer Series paper, Gold Foil
Other:  Stitched So Sweetly dies, Tailored Tags dies, Evening Evergreen 3/8" Chevron Weave Ribbon, Soft Succulent 3/8" Open Weave ribbon, Gold 3/8" Shimmer ribbon, Garden Gems

Finally, I have a softer color pallette for a birthday card.  I used the blending brushes to add color to the Ever Eden designer series paper.  The gold in the paper still shines through, and I like that extra bit of color on the background.

Paper measurements:
  • Soft Succulent:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded in half at 4 1/4"
  • Pale Papaya:  4" x 5 1/4"
  • Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4" (for inside of card)
  • Ever Eden Designer Series paper: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
Flowers are stamped, cut out and popped up.   A little bit of ribbon tied around the whole card panel, and some gems finish it off!

Here's a close-up so you can see those gold dots, and the gems.

Stamps:  Artistically Inked
Ink:  Pale Papaya, Soft Suculent, Evening Evergreen
Paper:  Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Garden Green, Very Vanilla
Other:  Seasonal Labels dies, Merry Melody embossing folder, Cherry Cobbler/Gold 1/2" ribbon, gold embossing powder, Greenery embossing folders.

I hope you all enjoyed these ideas for the Eden's Garden early release products!  They go live for sale on November 2nd.  ***Don't forget - the three things that I focused on tonight - the Ever Eden Designer series paper, the Ever Eden Cotton paper, and the Garden Gems are ONLY WHILE SUPPLIES LAST.  They are NOT in the upcoming Jan-Jun catalog.
