August 2021 Virtual Workshop - Beauty of Friendship

Hi Crafty Friends!  This week I aired my August 2021 Workshop, featuring the Beauty of Friendship bundle.  Workshop freebie for this month is a roll of the Evening Evergreen ribbon OR one of the new Hostess sets (depends on your purchase amount)!!!  Click on my Workshop of the Month page for full details on that offer.

Just a reminder that as of now, I go Live on my Facebook Page every Thursday at 8:00pm ET.

If you are not able to catch me live, you can still watch it on YouTube.  If the picture does not appear below, you can click HERE to get to it on YouTube.

As always, we'll start in the upper left corner of the picture, and work our way around.  My first project was made using just the die-cut tree pieces, and a Macrame-embossed background.

Paper measurements:
  • Evening Evergreen: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
  • Daffodil Delight: 4" x 5 1/4", embossed with Macrame folder
  • Soft Suede: 3" x 4 1/2", die cut tree/branches
  • Evening Evergreen: 3" x 3", die cut solid tree top
  • Beauty of the Earth designer series paper: 3" x 3", die cut open tree top
  • White:  scrap to stamp and cut greeting
  • White: 4" x 5 1/4" (for inside of card)
I attached the Macrame embossed layer of Daffodil Delight to the Evening Evergreen card base.  Adhere a strip of Evening Evergreen 3/8" Chevron ribbon down to the card front.

Build your tree pieces, gluing them all together, and attach using glue.  Stamp your greeting and pop it up with Stampin' Dimensionals, and finish the card with some Champagne rhinestones.

Add a white layer to the inside of the card.

Stamps:  Beauty of Friendship bundle
Ink:  Early Espresso
Paper:  Evening Evergreen, Daffodil Delight, Basic White, Soft Suede, Beauty of the Earth designer series paper
Other:  Evening Evergreen 3/8" Chevron Weave ribbon, Champagne rhinestones.

Next up is MY FAVORITE from this bunch!  It's fall-y, and I love it!

Paper measurements:
  • Basic White Thick: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
  • Basic White Thick: 3 3/4" x 5 1/2", embossed with Tasteful Textiles folder.
  • Beauty of the Earth designer series paper: 1 1/2" x 5 1/2"
  • White:  scrap to stamp and cut greeting

Stamp all your trees on the already embossed piece of Basic White Thick.  Stamp the tree in the middle FIRST, for placement - and then stamp the other two on each side.  The Tasteful Textiles texture will keep the images from stamping perfectly - that's the look I'm going for!

You're going to love two-step stamping with these Distinktive images!

Rip the bottom off of your designer series paper strip, and attach behind the embossed/stamped piece of white.  Pop all that up on to the card base.

Stamp your greeting, and glue down flat to card front.  Finish with some Gilded Gems.

Stamps:  Beauty of Friendship bundle
Ink:  Early Espresso, Bumblebee, Crushed Curry, Real Red, Merry Merlot, Cinnamon Cider, Cajun Craze
Paper:  Basic White Thick, Beauty of the Earth designer series paper
Other:  Gilded Gems

Coming down to the third project, this one can be holiday-ish or it can just as easily be an all-purpose card - and it's really a simple card to make. I wanted to play with my new Gold embossing powder (now sold in a combo pack: Gold, Silver, and Copper) and I LOVE IT!  It's a very bright, yellow-y gold.  Not dull at all.

Paper measurements:
  • Evening Evergreen: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
  • Pear Pizzazz: 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Evening Evergreen: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8", embossed with Evergreen Forest folder.
  • Very Vanilla: 4" x 5 1/4" (for inside of card)
  • Very Vanilla: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2", for stamping tree.
I took my Versamark ink pad and rubbed it right down the front of my Evergreen Forest embossed piece.  I did not press down - just skim it along the to of the raised up bits.  Then add gold embossing powder and cook it up.  That's pretty amazing!  Lots of gold goodness.

Attach that to the Pear Pizzazz layer, and then staple on some Evening Evergreen ribbon.

Stamp and die cut your tree.  I also ink-blended some more Pear Pizzazz around the edges. Pop that up on your card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Add some Gold Metallic Pearls to your tree if you want, and put that Very Vanilla layer on the inside of the card.

Stamps:  Beauty of Friendship
Ink:  Versamark
Paper:  Evening Evergreen, Pear Pizzazz, Very Vanilla
Other:  Metallics embossing powder (gold), Metallic pearls (gold), Evening Evergreen 3/8" Chevron Weave ribbon

Last, but not least, is a spring-like card.

Paper measurements:
  • Flirty Flamingo: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
  • Petal Pink: 4" x 5 1/4", cut with Stitched Greenery die
  • Pattern Party designer series paper: 1 1/2" x 5 1/4"
  • Flirty Flamingo: 2 1/2" x 4'
  • Basic White: 2 1/4" x 3 3/4"
  • Basic White: scrap to stamp/die cut greeting
Attach the Stitched Greenery die cut layer of Petal Pink to the card front, and add the strip of Pattern Party designer series paper on top.

Stamp tree, and mount to Flirty Flamingo layer.  Pop that up on the card front, and add some of the iridescent sequins from the Expressions in Ink Ephemera kit.

Stamp and add greeting.

Add a white layer to the inside of the card.

Stamps:  Beauty of Friendship
Ink:  Flirty Flamingo, Petal Pink, Crumb Cake, Just Jade
Paper:  Flirty Flamingo, Petal Pink, Basic White, Pattern Party designer series paper
Other:  Expressions in Ink Ephemera pack
