This is my fifth creation for the Craft Roulette Challenge. Mary Gunn Funn runs Craft Roulette - it's a weekly crafting show on YouTube now, every Friday evening. I try so hard to participate, but unfortunately I just don't have the time every week.
I created this Slim Line card for Episode #67.
The parameters were:
- Project: Slimline card
- Colors: Any color BUT Green!
- Element: Afternoon
- Random: Foil or Metallic Papers
The trickiest part of this particular challenge was the element...afternoon??? That could go so many ways! Afternoon tea party, things you do in the afternoon, there were so many interpretations of "afternoon". My interpretation was something you would do in the afternoon - sit around with your cat, reading a book.
Paper measurements:
- Early Espresso: 7" x 8 1/2". Score in half at 3 1/2"
- Cajun Craze: 3 1/4" x 8 1/4"
- Wood print designer series paper (Sorry it's retired, and I don't remember the name of it!) - 3 1/8" x 8 1/8"
- Copper Foil: 2 1/2" x 3 1/4", embossed with Cracked folder (Sizzix)
- Very Vanilla: 3" x 4 1/4", cut with Gina Marie Designs scallopy rectangle dies (Sorry, don't remember the exact name).
- Very Vanilla: 3 1/4" x 8 1/4" (for inside of card)
- Very Vanilla, Cajun Craze, Early Espresso: scraps for greeting
I started by stamping the books directly on the wood-print paper. I like the look of it.
Then I went to my stash to find some cat stamps, and pulled out this favorite from Tim Holtz. I stamped him in Early Espresso, and then colored in with a lot of different Stampin' Blends colors. Die cut the rectangle, and popped it up.
The greeting is hand-cut and layered, and then popped up as well.
I really have fun with the Craft Roulette challenges. I just wish I had more time to play. I do what I can though!
Supplies you'll need to create these (Stampin' Up, unless otherwise noted. Items may be retired.):

Ink: Early Espresso
Paper: Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla, wood print designer series paper (I want to say it was from the Holiday catalog, maybe 2019)
