Purple Flowers of Friendship

 

I just got my Flowers of Friendship bundle yesterday, and had to use it.  This card started with a bunch of left-over pieces... some random scraps of Purple Posy cardstock got embossed with different folders, then I had an extra flower bunch stamped.

It may be hard to see in this picture, but I watercolored the flowers and leaves, using regular White cardstock and a water brush.  When you watercolor on regular White, you get a softer look.  The color does NOT move around like it does on watercolor paper, so add sparingly.

For the Purple Posy flowers, I don't have that ink pad or a reinker - but I do have a marker!  Let me be clear - you need a water-based marker in this case.  Stampin' Write, NOT the Blends which are alcohol based.  I scribbled Purple Posy marker on a clear block, and then picked up the color with an aqua painter/water brush.

I used Soft Seafoam to watercolor the leaves, then hand-cut the whole bit.

I used two different embossing folders on this card.  I have lots of layers, and embossed most of them.  Everything is glued together, except for the flowers and greeting bit.  Those are popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Finish it off with Clear Wink of Stella on the flowers, and add smoe Pastel Pearls.

I did a little trick with the Rectangular Postage Stamp punch, to get it smaller...and I didn't take any pictures.  I'll have to show that in a video or another post.
