Floating Triple Pocket - you gotta try this!

Crafty Peeps!  You have GOT to try out this project!  I'm seriously in love with this.  The Floating Triple Pocket can be tucked right into a journal, scrapbook, notebook, folder, planner, your tote bag or purse - whatever you want!  You can also use this as a loaded envelope, or a card!  Make your tags and tuck-ins to suit the occasion.  I had such a great time making these!

Just a reminder that I go Live on my Facebook Page every Thursday at 11:00am ET.

The Floating Triple Pocket on the left is my prototype, and the one on the right is what I made during the Facebook Live video.

If you are not able to catch me live, you can now watch it on YouTube.  If the picture does not appear below, you can click HERE to get to it on YouTube.

This amazing project gives you a front pocket, a side pocket, and a back pocket to tuck tags, cards, whatever flat-ish things that you want inside.

To make the base of the Floating Triple Pocket, I started with a piece of Fine Art Floral designer series paper:  7 1/2" across x 11" tall.

The video will show you the folding and assembly, but the gist is - You'll need to score the 11" side in half at 5 1/2", and fold UP. That will become the back pocket.

Then bring one of the sides over and fold, leaving about 1/2"-3/4". That's going to become your side pocket.

Last step is to fold the front flap IN, to make that angled front pocket.

Since I eye-balled the middle step - folding it over to make the side pocket, my tag measurements are what fit inside MY pockets.  You'll make your tags fit your pockets.  My prototype was a different size, so those tags are also different.

I worked on the back tag first.  I used Pretty Peacock, 3 1/4" x 5 1/4", and White trimmed down 3/16"...so that's 3 1/16" x 5 1/16".  I stamped on the back of the Pretty Peacock, tone-on-tone, and then added just a couple of flowers.  Finish with some different ribbons for the pull.

Moving to the front and side pockets next.  I didn't take pictures of the tags individually.  :(

Side tag is the Pumpkin Pie, 3 1/2" x 4 3/4".  Again cut a White layer down 3/16" from that for the back, so that will be 3 5/16" x 4 9/16".  Do a little stamping on the back of it.  I stapled on a little scrap of the DSP to the side, as a pull.  Then stamped "HAPPY", and layered it.  I used a label maker to spell out "you make me", and glued those on.  I love it!!!  Finish off with some Gilded Gems.

The front tag is So Saffron, 2 1/2" x 4 3/4".  I cut another layer of So Saffron, 2 1/4" x 4 1/2" and embossed it with one of the Greenery embossing folders.  Then I took my So Saffron ink pad and lightly touched it to the embossed surface...just to give it a little more color.  I finished that tag off with a few bits of dsp, and then I went back and hand-cut one of the flowers out and glued that on.

For the very front of this Floating Triple Pocket, I used the new Biggest Wishes stamp set to stamp out "hello FRIEND", and cut that out with a Tasteful Labels die.  Again, add some Gilded Gems.

I see so many possibilities with a project like this!  I hope you are inspired to make one using your favorite patterned papers!
