Yesterday, I shared one more look at a few retiring products. Some that I really enjoyed using, and some that I barely had time to get inked up. :(
Just a reminder that I go Live on my Facebook Page every Thursday at 11:00am ET.
If you were not able to catch me live, you can still watch it on my Demonstrator Page later, OR on YouTube. If the picture does not appear below, you can click HERE to get to it on YouTube.
I started out with a Very Vanilla Thick card base, and Basic Gray ink for this card. I love the monotone look here, and it pairs well with the Well Suited Designer series papers. Just that little strip of DSP is enough for this card.
Start off by stamping and die-cutting the tree from the Rooted in Nature bundle. Then I stamped the Textured Essentials background image on the Very Vanilla layer - be sure to stamp off once, so it's a lighter shade. Add that strip of DSP, and pop the tree up with some Stampin' Dimensionals.
I stamped the greeting from Well Said, and hand-cut it. That is also popped up.
I finished it with three of the Black Matte Dots (these are NOT retiring - they are in the new catalog).
The entire decorated panel is popped up also. LOTS of dimension on this card!
Paper Measurements:
- Very Vanilla Thick card base: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", folded in half.
- Very Vanilla: 3 3/4" x 5"
- Very Vanilla: scrap to stamp and die-cut tree, and greeting.
- Well Suited DSP: 1 1/4" x 4"
Stamps: Rooted in Nature, Textured Essentials, Well Said
Ink: Basic Gray
Ink: Basic Gray
Paper: Very Vanilla (Thick an Regular)
Other: Nature's Roots dies, Matte Black Dots
My next card actually started out from a failed attempt at a shorter version of a Slimline Z-fold, from MONTHS AGO. I wanted the same fold, but only 5 1/2" tall. That didn't work out, so this card base was in my "do something with these pieces pile" until now. You can get the same look by just cutting some off the top of a side-fold card, almost like making a pocket card.
The Hydrangea Hill Designer series paper is tucked behind the angle-cut card front. You can't see from here, but I also covered the back of that up with white...in hindsight, I should have covered it with Seaside Spray, but this was the last of my Seaside Spray cardstock.
Once you get the card base itself ready, then just stamp some of the flowers and hand-cut them. It's important for me to point out - I DO NOT HAVE THE Seaside Spray ink pad! Never have! I found out just this past year that Misty Moonlight stamped off ONCE, is almost a perfect match to Seaside Spray. So that's what I've been using.
I stamped the greeting in Misty Moonlight, and punched out with the Double Oval punch.
Then it was just a matter of placing the flowers. I wanted different heights - so some are flat, some are popped up. Actually, I think I only ended up with ONE being flat.
I finished off with some Pastel Pearls (which ARE in the new catalog! Yay!)
Paper Measurements:
- Seaside Spray card base: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", folded in half.
- Hydrangea Hill DSP: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
- White: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (to back behind DSP), 4" x 5 1/4" (for inside of card)
- White: 1/2 a sheet to stamp all of the flowers and greeting.
Stamps: Beautiful Friendship, Healing Hugs
Ink: Highland Heather, Misty Moonlight
Paper: Seaside Spray, White, Hydrangea Hill Designer Series papers
Other: Double Oval punch, Pastel Pearls
Lastly, I wanted to make a slimline card because A) I like them, and B) I knew it would handle a LOT of butterflies! I'm using the Butterfly Gala bundle on this card.
I also used some of my Purple Posy card stock. Again, I never got the Purple Posy ink pad, BUT just like the Seaside Spray - I found a close enough color. Highland Heather stamped off ONCE, is close enough to Purple Posy to suit me!
I stamped the Textured Essentials background on the Purple Posy layer. Then I embossed butterflies from Butterfly Gala on Purple Posy card stock, with white embossing powder. Punch them out with the Butterfly Duet punch.
The greeting is also from Butterfly Gala. Stamp that in Highland Heather, and attach. All of the butterflies are popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Finish off with some Basic Rhinestones. You need something fun, and sparkly, for this card!
Paper Measurements:
- Purple Posy card base: 7" x 8 1/2", folded in half at 3 1/2".
- Purple Posy: 3 1/4" x 8 1/4", plus scrap to stamp/emboss all the butterflies
- White: 3 1/4" x 8 1/4" (for inside of card)
- White: 1 1/4" x 3 1/4"
Here's a close-up picture -
Stamps: Butterfly Gala bundle, Textured Essentials
Ink: Highland Heather
Paper: Purple Posy, White

I hope you enjoyed my last showing of these few stamp set! You can always take these designs, and use whatever stamps you already have.
Next week, I'll have my May Workshop featuring some new catalog products. Theme will be "May Flowers".
Thanks for visiting, and Happy stamping!
