This is my second post for the Craft Roulette Challenge. Mary Gunn Funn runs Craft Roulette. I found her on Facebook, but she also has a new channel on YouTube now too. Find her! She has a weekly guest, and they do some stamping together. The FUNN part is that she spins a wheel - hence, roulette...to get the required parameters for their stamping project.
I created this Slimline Z-Fold card for Episode #58.
The parameters are:
- Project: Fancy fold
- Colors: Green +3
- Element: Outdoors
- Random: Swink!
My Slimline Z-fold (Fancy Fold) base is Terracotta Tile. I paired it with Just Jade, Misty Moonlight, and Magenta Madness. I ended up with this color combination because those were the only little ink spots that I had handy - to get my Green +3 requirement in.
The very front angled panel is embossed with the Pinewood Planks folder. I like the tone-on-tone look with layers.
See my "swinking" at the bottom? This is what Mary calls it - swipe + ink = swink! Some of us also call it direct-to-paper, but swinking sounds so much more fun!
For my Outdoors element, I chose a stamp set with some outdoors stuff...birds on a branch! I watercolored these guys on my regular Basic White cardstock - I did not use watercolor paper, or even heavy weight cardstock. I like the effect.
Make your ink pallette on an ink block, and use a water painter or paint brush/water to color in.
I did some more swinking for the greeting. Stamped in black first, and then swinked the Terracotta Tile over top of it. Just hand-cut the greeting.
Supplies you'll need to create these (Stampin' Up, unless otherwise noted. Items may be retired.):
