Happy 50th to my hubby! I'm sad that we couldn't have a big party, but at least we were able to go out to dinner with our family. I also made him some red velvet cupcakes...which does not help his sugar levels at all!
I wanted to make an envelope AND the card out of one 12"x12" piece of paper, so the card is 4" x 6". I tell you, having the Envelope Punch Board is a true craft room essential. I think you can get them from We R Memory Makers. You can make just about any size envelope that you might need.
For the card, I have layers of the designer series paper, on Bermuda Bay, and then on a Night of Navy card base. I wrapped some ribbon around the DSP/Bermuda Bay layer before I attached it to the Night of Navy.
The mix tapes are both stamped and hand-cut. "50" is from Labeller Alphabet. One tape is glued down, and the other is popped up with dimensional tape. A few blue sequins finished the card.
Cut the 50 out of Night of Navy with Foam Adhesive Sheet behind it. I cannot stress enough how stick those foam adhesive sheets are! The zero stuck to my fingernail, and I thought it would rip my nail off.
Happy and Birthday are hand-cut. Those came from the Art Gallery stamp set. I needed something small-ish, and that was within reach.
Making different size cards is fun. Sometimes we need to break out from our norm. Hope you enjoyed this one!
