Hi Crafty Friends! Today, I demonstrated my March 2021
Workshop. This month, I am featuring the Suit & Tie dies - not the whole bundle...I only got the dies because of all the great samples that I've seen with the. Such fun cards! What sent me over the edge was a over-the-top Christmas Suit card! They used outlandish patterned paper, and some foil - that sealed the deal for me. I had to have them. :)
Be sure to check out my Workshop of the Month page for all the details.
Just a reminder that I go Live on my Facebook Page every Thursday at 11:00am ET.
If you are not able to catch me live, you can still watch it on my Demonstrator Page later, OR on YouTube. If the picture does not appear below, you can click HERE to get to it on YouTube.
I only did a little it of stamping on the very last card. I thought you can stamp whatever teeny tiny greeting you want, and attach to the card front - or put it inside. So MOST of the work for making these cards is picking out your designer series papers and die-cutting all the pieces.
I started off with a Suit card. I love this one! That red tie looks sharp with the gray suit. I used a little bit of Gray Granite Shimmer ribbon to poke out from the pocket, and then I added a small Rhinestone as a tie tack. Lots of pieces are popped up on this card.
Next, I wanted to make a sweater card, but I cut the "V" too far down, and added the lapel before I realized that I did it wrong. :( Oops! In the video, I left the lapel off and it looks more like a sweater. I love the prints with these Artistry Blooms papers! The card base here is Gorgeous Grape - which acts like the "shirt".
I also left the Silver Metallic Pearls OFF of the card I made in the video. They just didn't work as well as I originally thought - sometimes that happens...it's better in my head than reality. I still love this card, and will send it to someone fun.
Next, I made a Checkered Shirt Card. This checkered print was perfect! Notice I only added the collar and the stitched seam part down the middle, and a pocket.
I used a Pacific Point card base for this one, so it looks like a blue t-shirt underneath. I love it! Iridescent Pearls as buttons really worked out nicely.
Finally, I made a Scrubs Card. I LOVE the idea of this card, and it was the easiest to put together. Any patterned paper would make a great scrubs card - the crazier or cuter the print, the better! It would work very nicely with the Pets at Play papers! You know they make scrubs in all sorts of fun prints nowadays.
I used some more of the Sale-a-Bration papers for this one, and showed both sides in the video. I MADE the stethoscope with a bit of the Misty Moonlight ribbon, and some punched out circles. Stamp the heart in Night of Navy ink, and punch out with a 1" circle punch. Layer that on a 1 1/4" circle of silver.
I did stamp that teeny tiny "thank you" from the Loyal Leaves set, and hand-cut it. It fits perfectly across the pocket. You could certainly stamp whatever greeting you want, or even their name if you have some tiny letters!
I hope I've given you a glance at how much fun you can have with these Suit & Tie dies! I've got plans to make some St. Patrick's Day cards next!
Use the Hostess Code for this month to get the make-n-take kit for these cards, and a roll of the Misty Moonlight ribbon for free. Don't forget to check out my Workshop of the Month page for all the details!
