You may recall my "Love It, Chop It Inspired" post from a few days ago...I had fully intended on posting all of these additional samples on Sunday, but there just wasn't enough time. :( Anyway, you'll want to visit that original blog post for the cutting measurements for these cards. All of these cards are from my friends that did some stamping together virtually this past Saturday.
I'll start with the set of cards that I made, using the same cutting guidelines. After that, I'll add pictures of the cards that my friends made. I love how we all ended up with different sets of cards!
I used the Whale of a Time products for this batch of cards, and I love how they turned out. I got (5) cards out of the (3) sheets of 6x6 paper this time.
I'll start at the top right, and work my way around to give you a closer look at each one. On this first one, I used (2) of the larger strips of dsp. This was actually one of the last cards that I made. I also used the new Stiched with Whimsy dies on that little square piece of white card stock. I love the wonky stitching!
Hand-cut those little seahorses, and pop them up with some Mini dimensionals. I finished it off with some of the light blue rhinestones from the Holiday Rhinestones pack that I still have in my stash.
Next up, is a Granny Apple Green card base with the remaining strip of Whale of a Time designer series paper. I stamped (3) turtles in Granny Apple Green, Just Jade, and Pretty Peacock and hand-cut them. Stamp the greeting from Approaching Perfection (Sale-a-Bration item), and added some Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets to finish it off.
These three whales were easy work, with the Whale Builder punch. Stamp and punch them out! For the whales, I used Pretty Peacock for the bottom one, then stamped again to get a lighter version for the middle whale. Top whale is stamped in Balmy Blue. I added some of the Blue Adhesive Backed Gems to this card - glad I got those from the Holiday catalog!
Next up is another seahorse card. I did hand-cut those little guys again. This time, I added a Scalloped and Stitched oval die cuts. I ran the Stitched oval through my Big Shot with the Seabed embossing folder. Added some swoops of Snowflake Splendor ribbon underneath the greeting. I can't tell from the picture if I used regular rhinestones, or the blue ones from the Holiday rhinestones again. Either works!
Finally, I let the pattern of the designer paper shine on this card. These swimming turtles are great! I only stamped, an d hand-cut two turtles this time. Notice that I did some two-tone turtles...I inked them up and stamped off once to start, then carefully inked up just the body/head of the turtles in the same ink color to get the darker parts. I wasn't perfect with the re-inking...but it's close enough. I added 3 rhinestones on the right side, like air bubbles coming out of the Just Jade turtle. :)
Now, let's see what everyone else came up with! I've created a collage for each of them, with their name. I love all of their creations!!! Everyone used different papers, stamps, and accents - they are all wonderful!
Thanks for visiting, and Happy stamping!
