DO NOT scroll down if you want to be surprised for Days 6-8 stamps. Today is only Day 5, but I'm working ahead.
You may recall from the other day that I got a Advent Calendar from Unity Stamp Co this year... today is Dec 5th, so that's Day #5. I said that I would probably be combining some stamps, and I've jumped ahead a few days while I had time to stamp.
Day 3 project is a card using the Holiday Intrigue patterned papers from Unity, as well as the advent stamp - the holly/berries. I stamped that all over a strip of Whisper White cardstock, and colored them in with some Stampin' Blends markers. I even colored in the background with the Nude marker, so it wasn't so stark. The greeting is also a Unity stamp. I gold-embossed that, and punched it out. Card base is Garden Green, with a Real Red layer under the polka dots. I also added some strips of Gold Glimmer paper, and finished it off with some Gold Glitter enammel dots and a bow tied with Gold Shimmer ribbon.
Day 4 project is another card. The stamp for this box was a wee little strip of tree lights! I stamped them along together in strings across the card front. Card base is Cherry Cobbler, with a Crumb Cake layer.
When it came to coloring, I didn't feel like getting my markers out, and I wanted the color to be outside of the bulb...so it's glowing, kind of. So....I used my pinky finger! I did all the yellow bulbs, cleaned my fnger off, then all the greens, and so on.
I added Crystal Effects to every light bulb to finish it off!
Days 5 & 7 project is a cute tag! This is where I'm combining some of the days together. Day 5's stamp was Santa's Hat, and it goes perfectly with the HoHoHo from Day 7. I had a strip of the polka dot paper left over from Day 3's project, so that's how I decided to make this a tag. Added a layer of Real Red behind the polka dots. I also stamped and white-embossed Santa's hat on that same patterned paper, and hand-cut it. The HoHoHo is stamped in Real Red, and die cut with bunch of different oval/scallop shapes.
Snowflake Splendor ribbon and Silver cord are perfect! The shimmer of the Snowflake Splendor ribbon is beautiful.
Glitter on Santa's hat makes it sparkle, and then added some red lumpy embellishments (got them from the SB Expo a few years back. I forget who made them.), and some regular rhinestones. I REALLY love how this tag turned out!
Last one for today -
Days 6 & 8 project is a set of two cards. I couldn't decide which of the green printed paper to use (again from the Holiday Intrigue pack/Unity), so I used them BOTH. I had a hard time matching it up to Stampin' Up colors, but I got close enough. Card base is Black. Then I took a piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock, and inked Garden Green all over it completely, direct-to-paper. I had to hit that with my drying tool for a bit.
Then I gold-embossed the wreath from Day 6 and the Joy from Day 8 on that piece, and punched/hand-cut them out. Those are all popped up on the patterned strip. Tied some 1/4" Gold Organdy around the strip before I tacked down the Joy circle.
Close-up shows pearls on the wreaths of this card. One I used pearls, the other I used Gold Glitter Enamel dots.
That's it for a few days! I'll be back with more next week...I love what's coming up. They're not ALL holiday stamps, but most.
