Do you like to make ATCs? ATC stands for Artist Trading Card. It's a miniature work of art, and people really do trade them. The standard ATC size is the same as sports trading cards - 2 1/2" x 3 1/2", and that's where the "trading card" name comes from. They even have Artist Trading Coins - 2 1/2" circles!
I make an ATC-like card to include in packages when I'm selling off old craft supplies. I make mine 2 3/4" x 4 1/4". I still think of them as ATCs. It's actually a 1/4 sheet of card stock, cut in half again. I like this size to stamp a quick thank you. I make a different batch every month or so, and I try to keep them seasonal.
These were my last batch of cards - I used some stamps from Unity Stamp Co, and kept them very simple. Some leaves along the border in Tangelo Twist, and then a Thank You in Early Espresso. I write a little note on the back, and stick them in my packages.
It is my hope that people get these, and turn them into cards - but they may just throw them out...I'm none the wiser.
Here's what those same ATCs look like, turned into cards. I used Soft Suede card bases, with am embossed layer of Dusty Durango (because I have like 5 pieces left, and I'm using it up!). I added some Brown/Copper-ish Stickles, which I don't really care for anymore. It doesn't seem to dry nicely. It always ends up blobby and lumpy. Not a nice, smooth looking circle like the Nuvo Drops.
I hope you take a new look at the cards you receive. You can always cut the front of a card off and make it into something new!
Supplies you'll need to create these (Stampin' Up, unless otherwise noted. Items may be retired.):
