Curvy Celebrations Early Release Peek

Yesterday, I finally got the chance to play with my Curvy Celebrations goodies!  These products go on sale next week - Nov 3rd, and I was so excited to get them earlier this month...and then I didn't have any time to play with them until now.  :(

Just a reminder that I go Live on my Facebook Page every Thursday at 11:00am ET.

The Quite Curvy bundle is an early release from the upcoming January - June 2021 catalog.  Lots of leaves, flowers, birds, and some great greetings.  During this promotion, you cannot order these items separately.  You can only get the bundle.

The Curvy Christmas stamp set and Classic Christmas 6" x 6" designer series papers are exclusive to this promotion only available until Jan 4, 2021, or while supplies last.  I KNOW I have more than enough paper for the rest of my life, but these papers are what sold me on the Variety bundle.  The colors are Cherry Cobbler, Shaded Spruce, and Sahara Sand - but the patterns are NOT just for Christmas.  I feel like I'll get a lot of use from these throughout the year.

The Quite Curvy Variety Bundle shown above is $70.50 US.  That's the whole kit and kaboodle - 2 stamp sets, dies, and the paper pack.  *** Order the Variety Bundle from me, at any time through Jan 4, 2021 and you will also receive a (6) project PDF Tutorial with exclusive projects designed by me.  There is no hostess code to use - you can add the Variety Bundle on any order that you place in the next 2-ish months.  Once I get the order notification, I'll email your PDF.  (I'll have all of this info posted on my blog by this Sunday!)

Don't forget that the CHRISTMAS stamp set and papers are while supplies last

So let's get into what I made yesterday!

If you didn't catch me live, you can view it here on Facebook, or on YouTube.  If the picture below does not appear, you can click HERE to get to it.

All project measurements are listed in the Description section of the YouTube video.

First up, I started with a Christmas card.  I wanted to show how to color the Plush Poinsettia paper.  I didn't realize how much time I spent on this, but I think it was worth it.  You have to have a gentle hand with the Stampin' Blends, and try to stay ONLY on the plushy part of the paper.

I cut one piece of the Classic Christmas 6x6 paper in half at 3", and ran through with one of the Curvy dies.  Same thing with the Plush Poinsettia papers.  I used the same dies.

Using the bullet end of the Stampin' Blends markers, I colored the plush side of the papers.  In the video, you'll see that I also experimented with coloring on the back side.

I added a small white bow to finish this card.

Next up, I made a FALL leaves card!  My favorite.  This time, I used two pieces of In Color designer series paper - Cinnamon Cider and Bumble Bee - and cut them both with the same Curvy die, so I could mix and match them. I did NOT get the cuts exactly the same, to the swag of leaves covers up some major oopsies.

I watercolored the leaves swag using Stampin' Write markers (NOT the blends), in Bumble Bee, Cinnamon Cider, Just Jade, and Terracotta Tile.  These are water-based markers.  I used the Wet-on-Dry technique, which is you color directly on the watercolor paper with the markers first, and THEN go over all of it with a  water brush/Aqua painter.  It softens it up some, and does just a little bit of blending.

I changed up the greeting on the one that I made in the video, because I wanted to do the stamping on the Bumble Bee paper - it shows up better.

The ribbon that I used on these cards is the 3/8" Embroidered ribbon from the Aug-Dec 2020 Catalog (Holiday catalog).  I didn't want such a wide ribbon for this bow, so I cut that ribbon in half.  There is some fraying going on, but I like it!

Lastly, I made a small square card.  I really wanted to to use some Balmy Blue Glimmer paper on this one, but after much searching, I realized that I never ordered any.  Doh!  :)  So I had to use some Dazzling Diamonds as a back-up.  This makes me think of snow, so I suppose these are now Snow Birds.

The birds are cut out with the Curvy dies as well.   I stamped them on a scrap of Whisper White and colored them in with a combination of Stampin' Blends markers in Seaside Spray, Balmy Blue, and Rococo Rose.  When you blend the pink and blue, you get a kind of purple...nice!

I also used both shades of the Blue Adhesive-backed gems.

I hope you enjoyed my first sneak peek at the Curvy Celebrations products, and are excited to get your own!

Thanks for visiting, and Happy stamping!
