Fancy Phrases Tag in Magenta!

I really love these two new In Colors together - Magenta Madness and Just Jade!  Magenta Madness is a really bright, fun shade of pink that we haven't had in a long time.  I love it!  I think it's going to be fun paired with some shade of orange too....ooooohhhh yummy!

I started out thinking this would be a quick tag. 

Then it wasn't. 

I got the bright idea to stamp these flowers from Fancy Phrases on to watercolor paper, color them with ink on a clear block (as a paint palette), and an aqua painter - and then hand-cut them out.  Who ever said hand-cutting watercolor paper was a breeze?!  Not me!  It took way longer than I wanted it to, but in the end, I really like it. 

I cut the bigger floral image, and two of the little sprigs separately.  Then I swiped over all of the pink flowers with the Clear Wink of Stella pen.

NOTE:  When your Wink of Stella pen isn't giving you any more shimmer...it's time to retire it.  :(  Thank goodness I had a spare.  Sometimes it's hard to say good-bye to our things.

Then I started with the base of the tag.  I cut a piece of Magenta Madness with the Ornate Layers dies, and then embossed it with the Tasteful Textile folder.  I love that one too!

I had a left over piece of Just Jade card stock stamped with some of the greenery from Tasteful Touches, so I used that and ran it through with the Detailed Bands dies.  I glued in the two sprigs, and started off building my tag.  You can see I used an old Pewter Jumbo Eyelet, and then I fished my ribbons through.

On top of this, I added the bigger floral sprig, and the greeting.  The greeting came from the same Fancy Phrases set, but I hand-cut it just to get those words "just for you".   Here it is again, so you can see both ribbons - Whisper White 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle, and Just Jade 1/4" together.  I like using more than one ribbon on a tag.

I finished off with a few pearls.   Adding it to my pile of tags!
