Same design, different stamps

Do you remember the card that I made last week with this same design?  I love this simple design, and I actually used a lot of the same stamps and papers.  Last time, I used just the greeting from the Meant to Be bundle.  This time, I used the hearts and a different greeting - Happy Valentine's Day!

For this Valentine, I still used the same All My Love designer series papers - but obviously a different pattern this time.  The one side is the lighter pink with tiny hearts that you see as the base here.  The other side has hearts that FIT THE DIES...so you can cut them out, either with dies or by hand.

It feels like a little bonus when they design the paper prints like this.  Now I want to show you how this die actually cuts.  It cuts the heart with a straight edge, and then also cuts a separate scallop border that you can use together, or separately.  I'm going to use that scalloped heart frame on something else.

I stamped a couple of more hearts with Flirty Flamingo and Lovely Lipstick ink, and cut them out.  I used the dies to cut the Flirty Flamingo heart out, and then I hand-cut that littlest Lovely Lipstick heart.

You can see I added some ribbon, again from the All My Love ribbon combo pack, and I punched out the greeting with the Pretty Label punch.  Everything is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals, and then I finished it off with a couple of Metallic Enamel Hearts that I had in my stash.

Design Tip:  Odd numbers of similar things are usually more pleasing to the eye.  I started off with the 3 cut-out hearts, but wanted to add the little metallic enamel hearts.  I only put 2 on this card, so the total heart count is still 5....odd number.  Just something to think about.
