I went with Pacific Point and Lemon Lime Twist because....I needed ONE piece of designer paper so that I could make the envelope, and have enough left over for the card. I had ONE piece of this old Pacific Point striped pattern left, so that was decision #1. I like Lemon Lime Twist with most things, so that was decision #2.
I used the new Amazing Life stamp set - I'm happy that I'm getting a lot of use out of it. Random stamping of Happy Birthday in the two colors. I stamped the cake first, then stamped the words right over top of it. I put some Stickles (but a different brand that I can't think of now...) on the "CAKE" words at the very end, and the ink ran a little bit. I will use straight glitter next time. The liquid spreads too much, and I don't care for the running ink. :(
Otherwise, I added two different ribbons - 1/4" Pacific Point that is retired, and Lemon Lime Twist Ombre. I zigged and zagged them in opposite directions.
The scalloped part is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals, and some old Glittered Enamel dots to finish. They are actually Dapper Denim (I think), but it's close enough for a person.
I think this design is great for guys and gals - just change the colors to suit your person!
