No line coloring technique
I've been seeing a lot of this "no line coloring" technique on the interwebs lately, so I thought we'd give it a try. The very short version is - you stamp your out-line image in Sahara Sand - STAMPED OFF ONCE - then color it in.
You could also use Crumb Cake, or Smoky Slate...any light beige-ish or gray-ish color.
Next is coloring. I used some of the new Watercolor Pencils Assortment #2 on this card. You can use ANY coloring medium that you want - colored pencils, Blends markers, regular markers, chalks, reinker with aqua painters, ink pads with aqua painters.
I am not very good at coloring. Never have been. That's okay. What I did here is outlined everything with the watercolor pencil. Then color a bit more on one side.
Then I swiped the color around/to the right with a Blender pen.
You can see that the lines are mostly transparent once you color.
Give it a try!
Stampin' Up supplies you'll need to create these:
Stamps: Soft Sayings Card Kit, balloon (from an old Sale-a-Bration set...any outline balloon will do!)
Ink: Sahara Sand, Tuxedo Black
Paper: Whisper White Thick
Other: Watercolor Pencils - both assortment packs, Blender pens, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Stampin' Dimensionals
Thanks for visiting, and Happy stamping!
