Happy Mother's Day - Butterflies and Hydrangeas

I made two different versions of my Mother's Day cards this year.  Both feature an "LA Dreamin'" hydrangea, and orange and black butterflies.

You make the "LA Dreamin' " hydrangea by cutting out a Pink Pirouette hydrangea, and then sponging on Soft Sky and Wisteria Wonder.

This first one has a larger double-layer butterfly on the front.  Oh wait - this says "Happy Birthday".  Well...I DID make 2 of these that said "Happy Mother's Day".  I guess I didn't take the right picture.  Oops!  Same exact card, just different words.

 

Both cards follow the same design.  Wisteria Wonder card base, with embossed Wild Wasabi layer.  Leaves/stem die cut from Certainly Celery.  Same hydrangea.

This second one feature 3 small butterflies, stamped from a Paper Pumpkin kit and then hand-cut.

The inside of this one is the real treat - a "flying" butterfly with two more hydrangeas.  The layered butterfly is actually folded into a "W".  Fold in the middle, and then on both sides of the skinny butterfly body.

You can see how I attached the butterfly here.  I cut another hydrangea, and then punched out a piece of that using the Pretty Label punch.  Folded it in half, and then folded a flap on each side.  Glue the butterfly to it, and then glue the flaps down to the card.

I did run some Clear Wink of Stella across the layered butterflies, but I don't know that it's showing.
