After I made the tag for Day 17 of my challenge, I got the idea for this card. On the tag, I used the washi just on the background of the tag. For this, I used the washi tape for the background layer for the card - I covered the entire layer.
It is so hard to get a good picture of metallic things. The glare from the flash is terrible, and I'm not a good photographer, so that makes it worse. The metallic foil behind the cut out reindeer is the Champagne. Hard to tell...
This is what I mean when I said I covered the entire layer. I really did! I wrapped the ends around to the back of the card stock. When I was finished covering it, I attached it to the front of the card with Fast Fuse in the middle area, and Tombow Liquid glue around the edges....that is not coming back up, ever.
Here's a closer picture. The metallic foil is still discolored in the photo, but you can see that I cut out the oval, then cut the reindeer out of the oval. Ran that piece through the Big Shot with the Softly Falling embossing folder. Finished it off with a bow tied with the Copper Trim,
It did take me a minute or 10 to get all of the washi tape laid onto my card stock. I love it though! This Year of Cheer washi tape is so pretty.
