25 Days of Christmas 2017 - Day 20
Need a quick gift? Day 20 idea for my 25 Days of Christmas 2017 ideas challenge is a luminary. Use an old (but clean!) jar for this project. I think this was either gravy or spaghetti sauce. Inside is a battery-operated tea light, so there is no fire hazard.
The designer paper is not attached to anything inside at all. I cut it 4" x 8 1/2" (size it for your jar). I chose this white piece of the Merry Music specialty papers, because I thought the light would come through more.
After I put the paper inside the jar, I wrapped Jute Twine around 3 times, and tied on a sprig and a silver ornament. That's it! Tied the jute in a knot, and then a bow. You could make a set of 3 of these quick enough, depending on your jar situation. Using different size jars in your set would be really nice.
I did try to turn the light down/off and get a picture...this is the best I could get.
This is such an easy gift to make. If you don't have the Jute Twine, you could certainly swap out for any ribbon that you have. Don't have ornaments? Use little bells, or whatever you've got in your stash that you could dangle.
There are only 5 ingredients needed to make this:
Clean, empty jar
Jute Twine
Green Sprigs
Silver Ornaments
Merry Music specialty designer series paper
Thanks for checking out Day 20 of my 25 Days of Christmas 2017 challenge!
Happy stamping,
Toni
