25 Days of Christmas 2017 - Day 21

Only 5 more days of ideas, so I hope this last hand-full will inspire you and help you if you need something quick for Christmas.  We're on Day 21 of my 25 Days of Christmas 2017 ideas, and I've got another tag for you today.

I actually made these tags and attached them to my desk calendar refills this year.  The calendar pages are 4" x 6", so I always make a 5" x 7" envelope out of designer paper.  This year, I used all Black and Vanilla papers, so the only color would be from these tags.

Tag has a Cherry Cobbler circle as the base, the Everyday Label punch with the greeting stamped on it, a green sprig glued in between those two layers, and a Silver ornament tied on as well.

Aren't they pretty?

Let me take you through the steps.  First, when I'm stamping a bunch of something like this, I start with a whole sheet of card stock, and just stamp all around the edge.  I stamp the image in the same direction as the punch, so I can go in around the edge with the punch.  Stamp them all, then punch them all out.  Time saver.

After I punched all the word pieces out, I attached those to the Cherry Cobbler circles.  I lifted up the edge of the Everyday Label punched piece and got my 1/8" hole punch under there.  So you can't see the hole, but it's there.  Thread and tied some baker's twine in the hole, and tied on one silver ornament.

I used a bunch of Tombow liquid glue to glue the green sprig in between the cherry cobbler circle and the tag punch.  Hold in place for a minute or two.  Then set aside to dry.  These "green sprigs" are plastic...so the glue will take a bit to dry well enough to handle them.

As always, feel free to admire my awesome (terrible) photography skills.  :)

The glue drying the sprig in place is the long pole in this tent.  Once that's dry, you can tie them on to your package.  I really think they are elegant looking with the black and vanilla prints here -

If you don't have plastic sprigs, you could certainly go out in your yard and pull something off one of your trees.  Or a tiny pine cone!  OH, that would be so good!!!
