Balloon Festoon Vertical Paper Treat Bag Mini Album - featuring the Pretty Party Card Kit

Hope you're enjoying this Memorial Weekend!  So far, it's been nothing but cold and rain here in Maryland.  I didn't have any outside plans anyway, so I'm good.  :)  Honestly, I have so much on my to-do list for cleaning and purging my craft room, that I need the time off with no expectations to cook out or do anything people-y.   I don't know about you, but I need those kinds of weekends every so often.

So let's get into this week's project.  You know I LOVE a MINI ALBUM of any kind.  The idea for this one started when Sharon La C sent me a bag of Treat Bags with balloons all over them.  Perfect for another Vertical Paper Bag Mini Album...so I've been sitting on them for a little bit.  When the May-August 2026 catalog came out, the Balloon Festoon Bundle spoke to me.  I just had to pair it with these treat bags.  THEN earlier this month, the Pretty Party Card Kit was released and I knew I had all the pieces to make a really amazing little album.  So this is the end result.

I wrapped the cover and created the mini album base before my Live video.  If you want to watch a similar video, to see the process of wrapping covers and using the Lay Flat Method, watch THIS video.  Same principles, just different measurements.

Just a reminder that I am generally Live on-line every Thursday at 8:00pm ET.  I stream to BOTH YouTube and Facebook simultaneously, but I recommend viewing on YouTube.

If you are not able to catch me live, you can watch over on YouTube.  If the picture does not appear below, you can click HERE to get to it.

Finished album size is 6" x 7 1/2". I used the chipboard that comes in our Paper Pumpkin kits for these cover pieces! Save those chipboard pieces folks! Re-use! I'm going to give you ALL of the measurements now, starting with the cover and spine pieces. Then I'll follow up with some pictures.

I think this mini album will hold 35-40 pictures of various sizes!

The album has 5 pages inside. Two treat bag pages, and three pocket pages with flip-outs. All of the pages are "pockets" and can have more inserts added. I made some inserts for the treat bag pages, but not the pocket pages. I will likely do that when I actually put pictures in this album.

Picture of the top of the album.  See how the treat bags are not as wide as the pages.

Spine and back cover.  I embossed the Fresh Freesia pieces with the So Swirly embossing folder.

Spine and front cover.

Inside front cover has a pocket at the bottom, two inserts, and then a flip out on the facing page.  I used the cards from the Pretty Party Card Kit to make the flip outs.

I decided to add magnets before I took pictures.  I'll just have to make sure I cover these up with either photos or journaling spots.

Treat bag page has inserts tucked inside.  I added some banner pieces, also from the Pretty Party kit.

Back side of a treat bag page has a small pocket.
