Multiple Gift Card and Tea Bag Folio Projects

Good evening Crafty Friends!  I hope you are ready to be amazed this week.  I AM amazed at how easy this waterfall project turned out to be.   All these years, I thought it was too putzy to deal with....glad to finally learn how wrong I was!  Having said that...I did mess up on one of the projects.  We can't all be perfect all of the time.  :)

My goal of this week's projects were to share some ideas for some gifts that you could put together quickly in a pinch.  The first is a Multiple Gift CardWaterfall Folio, and the second is a Tea Bag Folio.  I love how both of these turned out.

Just a reminder that I am generally Live on-line every Thursday at 8:00pm ET.  I stream to BOTH YouTube and Facebook simultaneously, but I recommend viewing on YouTube.

If you are not able to catch me live, you can watch over on YouTube.  If the picture does not appear below, you can click HERE to get to it.

First project is the Multiple Gift Card Waterfall Folio.  I know that's a mouthful, but that's really what it is.  I watched a LOT of videos on how to make waterfall cards, and then I came up with some measurements that will work for gift cards.  This beauty will hold 4-6 gift cards!  I think it's perfect for the person that is hard to buy for, but you know where they like to shop - give them multiple gift cards.

Paper Measurements:
  • Shaded Spruce:  7" x 11", scored at 5 1/2"
  • Shaded Spruce:  5" x 9 1/2", scored at 1/2", 1", 1 1/2", 2", 2 1/2", 3"
  • Shaded Spruce:  (6) 3" x 5"
  • Shaded Spruce:  1" x 6", for waterfall band
  • Basic White:  4 1/2" x 4 3/4"
  • Basic White:  5 1/4" x 6 3/4"
  • Elegant Pines DSP:  (2) 5 1/4" x 6 3/4"
  • Elegant Pines DSP:  (6) 2 3/4" x 4 3/4"
  • Optional Shaded Spruce:  (2) 1" x 5 1/4" (I messed up making this and had to use these strips to cover bald spots on the front and back covers.)
  • Shaded Spruce:  3" x 4 1/2", cut with Everyday Arches dies
  • Basic White:  2 3/4" x 4 1/4", cut with Everyday Arches dies
Here's a look at the waterfall open.  I added a white piece to the inside cover so you could write an essay.  :)  You could certainly leave that off if you want.

Stamps:  Seasonal Tags
Ink: Secret Sea, Old Olive, Shaded Spruce
Paper:  Shaded Spruce, Basic White, Elegant Pines Designer series paper
Other:  Everyday Arches dies, Secret Sea 3/8" Faux Linen ribbon, Low Profile Sparkle Dots

This next project turned out cuter than I expected.  I love when that happens!  It's a 4-Tea Bag Pocket Folio.  This whole idea came from me wanting to make pockets to hold these adorable Christmas teas.  I ordered these online (check out my Amazon Store to find them), because my local stores just didn't have these flavors.  I love that they are individually wrapped AND Christmas themed!

Finished size is 3 1/2" x 7 1/2" with a 1/2" spine.

Paper Measurements:
  • Real Red:  7 1/2" x 7 1/2", scored at 3 1/2", 4"
  • Real Red:  (2) 3 1/4" x 7 1/4"
  • Traditions of Christmas DSP/poinsettia print:  (2) 3 1/4" x 7 1/4"
  • Traditions of Christmas DSP:  (4) 2 1/2" x 4", scored at 1/2" on 3 sides to make landscape pocket
  • Real Red:  7" x 3 1/2", scored at 3 1/4", for tip-in
  • Basic White:  3" x 6 3/4", for tip-in
I added a Tip-In to the middle, so you'll have room to write a message.  If you don't want that, then don't add it.  I didn't decorate the side that you see here...but you definitely could.  More designer series paper, embellishments, a few hand-cut wreaths or flowers from the papers, whatever you want to doll it up.

Use ephemera pieces from the Keeping Traditions Scrapbooking Workshop Kit to decorate the front cover.

Stamps:  looks like I didn't do any stamping!
Ink:  none
Paper: Real Red, Basic White, Traditions of Christmas Designer Series Paper, Keeping Traditions Scrapbooking Workshop Kit
Other:  Real Red 1/2" Shiny ribbon, Traditional Sparkling Sequins

I hope you see how you can change up the colors, papers, theme of these projects and make them perfectly suit whatever occasion you need them for - birthdays, showers, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Grandparent's Day, graduation...whatever you need.

Since next Thursday is Christmas, I will NOT be live that day.  I'll be going live on Saturday, 12/27.  Time TBD.  I actually had TWO different WATERFALL projects for tonight, but I knew I would only have time for one - so I'll share the other one this weekend, probably in a Valentine theme since we'll be past Christmas.  Stay tuned for a final TIME.

Thanks for visiting, and Happy stamping!
