Hello again Crafty Peeps! This post is all about the "GIFT" cards that I made on Thursday night, along with a small gift box. These stackable "gifts" make really cute cards. Think of any occasion where you might have a pile of gifts - birthday, wedding or baby shower, wedding, mitzvahs - change the papers to suit any theme you need!
Notice that we've got two varieties - stack of presents, and stack of presents with lids on the "boxes".
Just a reminder that I am generally Live on-line every Thursday at 8:00pm ET. I stream to BOTH YouTube and Facebook simultaneously, but I recommend viewing on YouTube.
If you are not able to catch me live, you can watch over on YouTube. If the picture does not appear below, you can click HERE to get to it.
First card is a Christmas card - only because I used Christmasy (North Pole Delivery) papers. Although now that I look at it closer...this could be for a birthday too.
The basic plan for creating these cards is you create the "gifts" first. Add Ribbon to each gift, if you want to. Glue all the gifts together. Glue the whole stack to the front of your card.
Paper Measurements:
- Poppy Parade: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
- Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4", for inside of card
- North Pole Delivery DSP (pool party with white dots): 4" x 5 1/4"
- North Pole Delivery DSP (small gift): 2" x 3 1/2", scored at 1/2", 1 1/2", 2", 3"
- North Pole Delivery DSP (medium gift): 2 3/4" x 4 3/4", scored at 3/4", 2", 2 3/4", 4"
- North Pole Delivery DSP (large gift): 3 1/2" x 6", scored at 1", 2 1/2", 3 1/2", 5"
Here's a side view - the gifts stacked up. You can see the inside prints, but that's okay.
I added a car and light pole from the North Pole Delivery DSP ephemera bits, along with a greeting from the Greetings for You Mix & Match Ephemera pack.
Traditional Sparkling Sequins finish it off.

This is my prototype - another Christmas card featuring the Christmas Tags & More DSP pack. Again, I added a greeting from the ephemera pack. I did pop up that greeting with some Stampin' Dimensionals.

- Garden Green: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
- Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4", for inside of card
- Silent Snowfall Specialty Paper: 4" x 5 1/4"
- Christmas Tags & More DSP (small gift): 2" x 3 1/2", scored at 1/2", 1 1/2", 2", 3"

- Christmas Tags & More DSP (large gift): 3 1/2" x 6", scored at 1", 2 1/2", 3 1/2", 5"

The next GIFT card that I made is a fun Turtle themed birthday card. This time, I added "lids" to the presents/boxes. I changed the measurements for the lids in the video - they were hanging too far down, so the measurements below are what you want to follow.
I don't have the coordinating turtle stamps, so I cut this image directly out of the designer papers.
Paper Measurements:
- Poppy Parade: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
- Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4", for inside of card
- Turtle-y Cute DSP: 4" x 5 1/4"
- Turtle-y Cute DSP (small gift): 2" x 3 1/2", scored at 1/2", 1 1/2", 2", 3"
- Shaded Spruce (small gift lid): 2 1/8" x 7/8", scored at 1/2"

- Garden Green (medium gift lid): 2 7/8" x 1 1/4", scored at 3/4"
- Turtle-y Cute DSP (large gift): 3 1/2" x 6", scored at 1", 2 1/2", 3 1/2", 5"
- Poppy Parade (large gift lid): 3 5/8" x 1 1/2", scored at 1"

I was also able to squeeze this project in at the end of my video. This was something that a few folks had requested, after I posted a Christmas version on my Facebook Page. It's a small Pizza box. Finished size is 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" x 1" tall. I ended up using the Turtle-y Cute papers again, because I had this extra turtle and balloon cut out already and this stuff was already out on my table. Change up the papers to something for Christmas for a nice little box!
On the 10" side, score at 1", 4 1/2", 5 1/2", 9"
On the 5 1/2" side, score at 1", 4 1/2"
I added (2) 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" pieces of Turtle-y Cute DSP, and the cut-out birthday turtle. I didn't add any ribbon or greeting - frankly, I'm just adding this to my pile of finished boxes for now. I don't have a specific person to give it to right now. :) The whole point was to show you all how to make it, so go forth and make some!
This coming Thursday, I'll be working on two different styles of boxes/bags to go with the Nutcracker Tags. I'll be using these to hold gifties for my pool teams. Tune in for some more cuteness!
Thanks for visiting, and Happy stamping!
