Craft Roulette Challenge #269: Square Card

Submission #66 in total.  This week was fun because I LOVE square cards.  This 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" size is my favorite because it fits in a medium envelope, and you don't have to use extra postage for a square envelope.  I let the Beautiful Gallery designer series paper do most of the work on this one.  Stamped a couple of the seagulls on it, and added the greeting.  The greeting is stamped on the backside of this same piece of dsp.  I just trimmed down one of the scraps.

Episode #267 parameters, and how I met them:

• Project: Square Card - mine is 4 1/4" square
  
• Colors:  Butterfly(ies) - browns and dark blues/almost black
• Element:  Cloud(s)/Cloudy - clouds in the designer series paper
• Random: Tied - I "sewed" the edge of the card with twine, and tied the ends in knots.

I layered the DSP to the square of Secret Sea, then punched holes down the side with my Crop-o-dile.  Use twine to sew the edge, and tie the ends off.  That whole layer is popped up onto the card base with Black Stampin' Dimensionals.

Picture of the inside:  I stamped the boat from the Maritime Moments Kit inside.  It's so tiny!

Paper Measurements:

• Secret Sea:  4 1/4" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
• Secret Sea:  4 1/8" x 4 1/8"
• Basic White:  4" x 4", for inside of card
• Beautiful Gallery DSP:  4" x 4", plus scrap to stamp greeting

I finished up with some Sunny Days dots in Melon Mambo and Summer Splash.
