Welcome to Day 2 of my Growing in Unity Week! I'm bringing you a different project every day this week, featuring different stamps, papers, dies, and ephemera from Unity Stamp Co. You know, years ago, they used to only sell stamps. Now they've got so many papercrafting supplies and tools. It's awesome to see how they've grown!
PRIZES! One of the cool things about being the GIU Gal for the week, is that I get to give out TWO $20 vouchers for Unity product! LEAVE A COMMENT on this blog post (include your name if Blogger won't sign you in. I have that problem myself on some blogs.), my Instagram posts this week (Instagram), or any of the Facebook posts that I made. I'll be sharing to several Facebook Groups. I'll collect all the comments, and make a post next week HERE on my blog to announce the winners.
For today's project, I pulled out some of the printed ephemera from Unity Stamp Co. This pre-printed tag came from the Feathered Fields Stitched Journal Cards pack. I've been getting some Unity's printed ephemera lately, and I do like it. It's not printed on heavy/thick cardstock, but it's not just copy paper either. It's in between. Definitely good to stamp on, and add to your projects. You can also layer it onto cardstock if you want.
In this case, I stamped my greeting and chicken feet on the tag itself. Added some twine (that came from Unity...I think it was wrapped around my last Advent Calendar) behind the tag.
The papers are from Unity also - Chicks & Red Gingham. It's still available (and ON SALE now!), and you'll love it. It's a Mini pack, and I can't remember how many sheets are in it, but it's enough for the price. I swiped my Catherine Pooler Midnight ink pad around all of the edges, and then attached to my black card base.
Pop the printed tag up on the card front and add some black doo-dads!
Paper Measurements:
- Basic Black: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
- Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4", for inside of card
- Chicks & Red Gingham paper pack: 4" x 5 1/4"
I forgot to mention that the printed Stitched Journal Cards include both White and Kraft base. I used one of the Kraft base cards here. You hand-cut the cards from the sheets provided. You can distress or ink the edges if you want.
Supplies you'll need to create these (Stampin' Up, unless otherwise noted. Items may be retired.):
Stamps: Impeckable Silhouettes (Unity Stamp Co)
Ink: Midnight (Catherine Pooler)
Paper: Basic Black, Basic White, Chicks & Red Gingham (Unity Stamp Co), Feathered Fields Stitched Journal Cards
Other: Black dots, Twine (Unity Stamp Co)
Thanks for visiting, and Happy stamping!

What a great way to use these products together! Nice card!
ReplyDeleteThanks Chris! Unity is really putting out some amazing papers and coordinating products. Great to work with!
DeleteSuch a nice card! Love the paper and the image with the chickens, and the fun sentiment too!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see that we can leave comments here for your GIU week, as my IG account gives me fits!
I'm with you Denise! I can't even comment on blogs with my Google account (which is what I use to create my own blog posts....). Some setting that I don't feel like fixing. Anyway - thank you! I love their papers too. They've upped their game in paper in the past few years! Everything is 6" x 6" only, but that's fine for card-making.
DeleteI like the combo of the background paper with the journal card and clever saying. Great card.
