Friends of Unity May 2025 Blog Hop - Bloom Where You Are Planted

Welcome to the May 2025 Blog Hop, brought to you by the Friends of Unity Blog hoppers!  This month's theme is all about blooms and planting, so I expect a lot of flowers.  :)   I also expect many are using soft or bright palettes.  It makes sense!  I went in a different direction....no matter what, I prefer Autumn.  The season, the colors, the smells.  It's my favorite.

I had a piece of this patterned paper from the Golden Autumn Whispers pack, and I love the browns and oranges.  I decided to stamp my "blooms" directly on the patterned paper.  Rip the edges until I have about a 2 1/2" tall strip.  Mount that on a piece of Early Espresso cardstock and rip those edges too.

I had to do some MORE ripping on my greeting piece, then ink blended the edges with some Pecan Pie.  That last bit of twine that I got from Unity (as one of my order freebies, or it was tied around something) is wrapped around that whole layer.  It's taped to the back side with a lot of Tear & Tape.  Glued that panel down to the card front.

Like I said - I love these colors.  I can also see this done in softer or brighter colors.  It's a great bloomy stamp!

Thanks for hopping with us!  If you comment as Anonymous, please leave your name so we know who leaves some love.

You probably got here from Jane's post, and the next stop is Dawn's creation.  If you want to start at the beginning, go to Crystal's post!

Here's a list of everything I used:

Stamps: Kindness Unfolded, Extended Celebration (Unity Stamp Co)
Ink:  Early Espresso, Pecan Pie
Paper:  Early Espresso, Wood (The Paper Studio), Golden Autumn Whispers (Unity Stamp Co)
Other:  twine (Unity Stamp Co), Opaque Faceted Gems

I hope you enjoyed my project, and love the rest of the HOP!

Thanks for visiting, and Happy stamping!

  4. I like the look you got with stamping on patterned paper. I need to remember that when I don't feel like coloring an image.
