Tune In - You'll love these!

Today was a perfect day to be inside crafting, here in Maryland.   Some little spritzes of rain here and there, but mostly just cloudy, overcast and chilly - perfect INDOOR times.  Tonight, I'm sharing the projects that I made on Thursday night with the soon-to-be retired Tune In bundle.  The TV is so retro and cute!  I also had fun using small pictures (2" x 3") that I printed on my Sprocket printer.

I re-made my Golden Girls card from Thursday night, so I've posted both cards here for you to see.  I mean seriously - how cute is that???

Just a reminder that I am generally Live on-line every Thursday at 8:00pm ET.  I stream to BOTH YouTube and Facebook simultaneously.  NOTE:  Facebook has been behaving poorly lately, so I recommend viewing on YouTube.

If you are not able to catch me live, you can watch over on YouTube.  If the picture does not appear below, you can click HERE to get to it on YouTube.

First card is a "tv room situation" theme.  What I think of with an old-time tv like this...colors are very neutral, but you use whatever "wallpaper" and "flooring" you have.  Maybe you need to make wood panelling for your tv room!  TV and antennae stamped in Early Espresso on Pecan Pie cardstock.  Very simple card, but I like it!

Paper Measurements:
  • Pecan Pie:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
  • Basic White:  4" x 5 1/4", for inside of card
  • Country Lace Designer Series Paper:  4" x 5 1/4"  (this is my wallpaper)
  • Country Woods DSP:  2 1/4"ish x 4"  (this is my flooring)
  • Pecan Pie and Basic White:  scraps to stamp/die-cut tv/antennae/tv screen
Finish off with some of the Copper gems from Metallic gems pack.

Stamps:  Tune In Bundle
Ink:  Early Espresso, Basic Beige
Paper:  Pecan Pie, Basic White, Country Lace Designer Series Paper, Country Woods Designer Series Paper
Other:  Metallic Gems (Copper)

The second card is my piece d' resistence of this batch!  I grabbed a few pictures of the Golden Girls from the internets, and printed out on my Sprocket printer.  I measured and used a craft knife to cut out the "screen area" from an unstamped die-cut tv.  Then just stamp the very outside lines of the tv.  Glue the picture in from behind to fill the screen.  I added a second die-cut tv behind the picture, just to make sure everything was secure and to make it a little thicker.

You could do this with ANY picture you have, as long as it's printed landscape.  This card was REALLY FUN to make and share!

Card on the left with the two angled greetings is the one I made during my live video.  I wasn't very happy with the greeting like that at the top, so I re-made it tonight.  Do-over is the one on the right.

Stamp some of the starbursts all over in Pretty in Pink.

Paper Measurements:
  • Summer Splash:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
  • Basic White:  4" x 5 1/4", for inside of card
  • Pretty in Pink:  4" x 5 1/4"
  • Smoky Slate:  scraps to die-cut 2 tvs
  • Basic White/Summer Splash: scraps to stamp/hand-cut/layer greetings
  • Summer Splash/Pretty in Pink:  enough to die-cut layered "friend"
Finish with some In Color Shimmer Gems in Summer Splash.

Stamps:  Tune In Bundle, Friends for Life
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Basic Gray
Paper: Summer Splash, Pretty in Pink, Basic White, Smoky Slate
Other:  Friends for Life dies, In Color Shimmer Gems, small picture

I only made three cards on Thursday night, and this last one was another fun one.  This is a Book Binding Easel Card.  Two fun folds in one card.  When it's popped up, it looks like a tent from the side.  I went with some more muted colors - blues and brown...maybe more a guy card.  I used one piece of 6" x 6" plaid dsp to get all of the pieces I needed and show off both sides of the paper!

Paper Measurements:
  • Misty Moonlight:  4 1/2" x 11", scored at 2", 4", and 5 1/2"
  • Misty Moonlight:  (4) 1 1/4" x 4
  • Timeless Plaid DSP:  (2 blue/green plaid) 1 3/4" x 4"; (2 blue checks) 1 1/8" x 3 7/8"
  • Basic White:  4" x 5 1/4", for inside of card
  • Basic Beige:  3 1/2" x 3 1/2", cut with Spotlight on Nature dies
  • Boho Blue:  2 3/4" x 2 3/4", cut with Spotlight on Nature dies
  • Pecan Pie:  scrap to stamp/die-cut TV
  • Basic Beige:  scrap to stamp tv screen
Stack/glue (3) of the 1 1/4" x 4" pieces of Boho Blue together to make the easel stopper.  Glue this inside the card, near the bottom.

Popped up, you can see the easel stopper.

Finished off with some Tinsel Gems in Misty Moonlight.

Stamps:  Tune In Bundle
Ink:  Basic Beige, Early Espresso
Paper:  Misty Moonlight, Pecan Pie, Basic White, Basic Beige, Timeless Plaid Designer Series Paper
Other:  Spotlight on Nature dies, Basic Beige 3/8" Bordered Ribbon, Tinsel Gems 3-pack (Misty Moonlight)

I hope you got a couple of ideas to try out, or just simply enjoyed watching!

Next week, I'll be making a Mini Album using the Everyday Happiness papers and chipboard that we get every month in our Paper Pumpkin Kit!  No special chipboard purchase required for this one!  It won't be too complicated, so please don't be scared off.   Join me on Thursday at 8pm.

Thanks for visiting, and Happy stamping!
