Autumn to Remember Paper Bag Mini Book - from the kit!

I hope you're enjoying your weekend Crafty Friends!  I really enjoyed making and sharing this Paper Bag Mini Book with you on Thursday night.  My goal was to ONLY use paper and pieces from the Autumn to Remember Scrapbooking Workshop Kit.  I paired that along with four jumbo size lunch bags (from Walmart).  You could certainly use more bags to make your album even thicker.

I did not add much of anything else to the book, in terms of ephemera or die-cuts, because I want to do that when I add pictures.  My plan for this book is to add Thanksgiving and Black Friday Crop pictures, from this year...so I don't even have them yet.  :)

Finished size of this Paper Bag book is 6" x 6".

Just a reminder that I am generally Live on-line every Thursday at 8:00pm ET.  I stream to BOTH YouTube and Facebook simultaneously.

If you are not able to catch me live, you can watch over on YouTube.  If the picture does not appear below, you can click HERE to get to it on YouTube.

You'll definitely need to watch the video to see how to make the album base.  I cut my lunch bags down to 12" long, then folded in half so the final page size is 6" x 6".  You'll have to adjust all of these measurements if your lunch bags are a different size.

I used FOUR lunch bags, and glued them together to make extra pockets for inserts.  For each "page layout", there are THREE pieces of DSP needed.  One each for a Main page, a Tuck spot, and a Pocket cover.

Paper Measurements:  Pay attention to the direction of the pattern
  • Front and Back Covers:
    • Petal Pink cardstock:  5 7/8" x 5 7/8"
    • DSP:  5 3/4" x 5 3/4"
  • Main Page DSP:  5 7/8" x 5 7/8"
  • Tuck DSP:  2 1/2" x 5 7/8"
  • Pocket DSP:  3 7/8" x 5 7/8"
  • Inserts:
    • Cardstock (various from the kit):  5 1/2" x 5 1/2"
    • DSP:  5 1/4" x 5 1/4"
This picture shows how I glued the open ends of two bags together, to get an extra pocket in the middle.  All inserts are the same size.  I made NINE inserts, but these pockets are so big, you could certainly add more or even make some booklets to go in the pockets.

Last page.

No stamping on this project, but definitely room for lots of creativity using the kit contents.  I can't wait to get pictures taken this coming week and fill this book up!

I can still add some stamping when I'm adding my pictures.

Stamps:  None
Ink:  None
Paper:  Autumn to Remember Scrapbooking Workshop Kit (all two-tone cardstock and DSP came from this kit)
Other:  Petal Pink/White 1/4" Diagonal Trim Combo Pack, Petal Pink & Pretty Peacock Foiled Gems, Jumbo Lunch Bags

I hope you see how versatile these Scrapbooking Workshop kits are - you don't have to use them to make the page layouts as designed.  I still have about half of the two-tone cardstock and DSP from this kit, so I can still make some 12" x 12" pages if I want to!

Another plug for my Wreaths Across America efforts this year!  My goal is to have 100 wreaths sponsored this year.   As of right now, I need 43 more to make it!  My group with Wreaths Across America is registered for the 3-for-2 program.  That means for every 2 wreaths that people buy, we get a third one free!

Reminder that I will NOT have a video this coming Thursday - it will be Thanksgiving.  I am going to try to come on next Saturday (Nov 30th), but I don't have a specific time yet.

Thanks for visiting, and Happy stamping!
