November 2023 Virtual Workshop: Sponsoring Wreaths Across America!

It's all about Wreaths Across America this month!  Read on for how you can help...

This month's virtual workshop is my FOURTH Annual Wreaths Across America Fundraiser!  My Mom and I started this in 2020, and I have continued on with it.  She was my biggest supporter, and I really miss her.  Between Dave and I, 3/5 of our parents are buried in Military cemeteries so this is personal for us.

My goal is to sponsor 100 wreaths at the Crownsville National Cemetery that my group (ToniStamps Wreaths Fundraiser) is registered with.   There are two ways you can help me reach my goal!

Option 1.  You can sponsor wreaths directly, with no purchase from me.  Follow the link below to get to my official ToniStamps Wreaths Fundraiser page.

The CUT OFF DATE to order wreaths in time for placement this year is Nov 28th!

My group is still registered with the "3 For2" program, which means for every 2 wreaths that are sponsored, we get one FREE...3 total.    If our group ends up sponsoring 100 wreaths, we'll get another 50 for free!

Option 2.  Place your Stampin' Up order online using code 2SSMQCD9.  Please Note: the cut-off for ordering wreaths is 11/28/2023, so please place your Stampin' Up order BY 11/27, in order to count towards my donation.  I am donating 25% of all the workshop sales to sponsor even more wreaths!

You will still get the make-n-take kit for the workshop with your qualifying order this month, but instead of giving you a free gift - I'm going to donate 25% of all the workshop sales to sponsor Wreaths Across America.

Check out my Workshop of the Month page for details about my workshop, the ordering specials and the online ordering code.  Short version:  Use code 2SSMQCD9 when placing your qualifying order online this month and get some freebies -
  • $50 online order (before tax/shipping) will get you the Make-n-Take kit (all the paper pieces and envelopes) for this workshop.
  • $75 online order (before tax/shipping) will get you the Make-n-Take Kit AND some beautiful cards from my stash.
  • Under $50 - please use the code, and I'll send you a hand-stamped card from my stash.
Just a reminder that I am generally Live on-line every Thursday at 8:00pm ET.  I am streaming to BOTH YouTube and Facebook simultaneously.

If you are not able to catch me live, you can watch over on YouTube.  If the picture does not appear below, you can click HERE to get to it on YouTube.

I'm using the Layering Leaves stamp set and Bough punch this month.  You can use ANY leaf/greenery cluster and punch or die that you have.

First card is probably my favorite, because it's got all the Fall vibes going on.  Great fall colors, and some metallic razzle dazzle thrown in.  The plaid paper is from the Them Bones (halloween) paper pack, but clearly does not have to be Halloween!  I love a good plaid.

Stamp and punch out some leaves in Cajun Crazy and Pumpkin Pie, and build a Fall floral arrangement.  I punched out a bit of the Oxidized Copper Paper and Cajun Craze cardstock with the Lasting Label punch.  Glue together to make it sturdy, and then cut (a little more than half) to make a flower pot/vase.

Paper measurements:
  • Cajun Craze:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2”, scored and folded in half at 4 1/4”
  • Very Vanilla:  4” x 5 1/4”, for inside of card
  • Basic Black:  4" x 5 1/4"
  • Them Bones DSP (Plaid pattern):  3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
  • Basic Black:  1 1/2" x 4", embossed with Basics #3 folder
  • Very Vanilla:  4 1/4" x 5 1/2", notched corner to stamp/punch out leaves and hand-cut greeting

Everything (leaves, vase, greeting) is glued down flat to the card front.  The whole black/plaid/dolled up layer is popped up.  Finish off with some Sparkle Gems.

Stamps:  Layering Leaves
Ink:  Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, Onyx (Versafine)
Paper: Cajun Craze, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Oxidized Copper, Them Bones Designer Series Paper
Other:  Basics #3 embossing folder, Bough Punch, Lasting Label punch, Sparkle Gems

Second card is a fun fold from my friend Sue (Krusin' Through Ink).  It's called a Back Fold card.  Watch the video to see how the scoring and folding gives it the name.  I'm using the Tartan Foil papers in Lost Lagoon on this one.  When you get your make-n-take kit, you decide if you want the white side showing, or the Lost Lagoon side.  They're both great!

Stamp a few leaves, stamping off to make some lighter.  Punch out, and sandwich between the Basic White and Lost Lagoon circles.

Paper measurements:
  • Lost Lagoon:  5 1/2" x 7 1/2”, scored at 1", and 4 1/4"
  • Basic White:  3” x 5 1/4”, for inside of card
  • Tartan Foil Specialty Paper (Lost Lagoon):  3" x 5 1/4"
  • Lost Lagoon:  3/4" x 5 1/4", embossed with Timeworn Type folder
  • Lost Lagoon:  2 1/2" circle
  • Basic White:  2 1/4" circle
  • Basic White:  4 1/4" x 5 1/2", notched corner to stamp and punch out leaves
Finish off with a few Tinsel Gems Three-pack, in Lost Lagoon.

Stamps:  Layering Leaves
Ink:  Lost Lagoon
Paper:  Lost Lagoon, Basic White, Tartan Foil Specialty paper
Other:  Bough punch, Timeworn Type embossing folder, 2 1/4" and 2 1/2" Circle punches, Tinsel Gems Three-Pack

Third project is a great way to use up some small strips of patterned paper!  I don't have a name for this one - it's just pretty.  :)  You could even mix and match your strips...just make sure they all coordinate.  I used the Fresh as a Daisy paper for this one.  I love the Garden Green and Wild Wheat together.

Notice that the leaves I stamped and punch have two colors.  I stamped the outline in Garden Green, and then the solid leaf filler stamp in Old Olive, stamped off once to get a lighter shade.

Paper measurements:
  • Garden Green:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded in half at 4 1/4"
  • Basic White:  4" x 5 1/4", for inside of card
  • Wild Wheat:  3 5/8" x 4 7/8"
  • Basic White:  3 3/8" x 4 5/8"
  • Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper:  (4) 1" x 3 1/8"
  • Wild Wheat:  2 1/2" circle, die cut with second largest die from the Stylish Shapes dies.
  • Basic White:  2 1/4" circle
  • Basic White:  4 1/4" x 5 1/2", notched corner to stamp/punch leaves

Suggestion:  Dry fit your 1" strips before you start gluing down, so you can make sure they're all even.

Finish off with some In Color Dots.

Stamps: Layering Leaves
Ink:  Garden Green, Old Olive
Paper:  Garden Green, Wild Wheat, Basic White, Fresh as a Daisy designer series paper
Other:  Bough punch, Stylish Shapes dies, 2 1/2" circle punch, 2023-2025 In Color Dots.

I love the last card because you can use ANY ink colors that you want.  I've got a Pebbled Path base - completely neutral.  I went with Regals colors, but you could do brights, subtles, anything you want really.  My thought was to stamp a partial border using a lot of different colors.  I even like the blue thrown in here!  Very simple card.

If you don't have Pebbled Path ink - stamp that greeting in black.  That would look really nice too!

Paper measurements:
  • Pebbled Path:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded in half at 4 1/4"
  • Basic White:  (2) 4" x 5 1/4".  One for inside of card, one for stamping.
Finish off with a few Iridescent Rhinestones.  I did NOT pop my stamped layer up, but you certainly could.

Stamps:  Layering Leaves
Ink:   Blueberry Bushel, Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, Crushed Curry, Garden Green, Pebbled Path
Paper:  Pebbled Path, Basic White
Other:  Iridescent Rhinestones

That's it folks!  I hope you enjoy these ideas, and are inspired to get crafty!
